I was totally captivated by the dress...every time you moved it was like ripples rippling across the dress...totally awesome. 
 
And yes, there is no reason to go back to The Joker when Heath made him the best villain in recent cinema.

Woot for the news. Hope you guys are still settling on the location for these, I don't know if I can bear GB's Shaq pic in the background. Also, don't tell Rorie what you think of the lantern costume! He'll call you a loon!

It's gonna be so awesome! I can't actually go, but I'm gonna try to kinda hang around SD that weekend and catch the overflow. What is there to do at night? FEARnet.com has a list of evening events. Here's a link to it: 

1. Excited about the GL movie!!! And i like the costume i guess. a little weird, but i like it
2. No interest in X-force
3. Not surprised about joker news

Starters, that dress is wicked awesome! 
 
Second, I'm fine with the GL costume.  People need to learn to make certain sacrifices in order to see their heroes on the silver screen. 
 
Third, I'm glad they aren't using Joker, but I'm hoping they don't go with Riddler.  Personally, I don't know what villain Nolan could bring in that would make me flip out other than Mr. Freeze or Hush, and he's already debunked the idea of Mr. Freeze. 
 
Lastly, I'm not a big fan of Marvel, so the X-Force thing isn't that big of a deal to me...but why does everyone need a gun?  Seriously, that's kind of stupid.

That was a damn good Weekly News.  Somethin' about it just sounded a lot cleaner and more rehearsed than those in the past, and I believe it was better for it. 
Despite only living about an hour away, I've never made it down to SDCC, but I'll definitely be watching the coverage here on Comic Vine. 
As for the news stories, I really don't know what to think about Ryan Reynolds' GL costume.  It just seems weird to have the costume be in CG and I'm getting a real 1990's Spawn the movie feel from it.  That's not a good thing.

Good god Just got home from Inception, Nolan's Filmmaking is as sharp as Hattori Hanzo.  Seriously Batman 3 is going to be just downright amazing.   
 
Also its a dam shame, Ledger died.  Yes old news, but but but.... after inception Ellen Paige would have been the PERFECT Frank Miller Female Robin, in a DK Returns pic.  DAM YOU PRESCRIPTION DRUGS..... WHY DIDN"T YOU TAKE LINDSAY LOHAN INSTEAD WHY!!!!!

I'm still on the fence about the GL dudes. I know he's GREEN lantern and not green, black and white Lantern but come on! I'm just afraid that a totally glowing green costume is gonna be a little unsettling to watch.

the costume has so unique qualities, but CGI is better known for advancement than style. it almost forgoes style with design function (if that makes sense). i think its best feature will be movement. and we could do a lot worse for actors playing GL, imo.

Hey I thought I would just mention that I thought this was done fantastic... well done.  You folks just need to either tidy up and at least hang up your pictures sitting on the floor, or move the TV and presenter closer to the brick wall as a nice backdrop.  Otherwise, I've always been one to enjoy seeing a busy office in the background... and we got to see one person walk out of the room during this ... :)
