I agree with you Babs ... no Batman tv series I mean now that we can finally say BATMAN ROCKS why would they try to make a tv series of it , but Im the type of dude that hated Smallville so ehh . I would like more stuff like the Gotham Knight tho (you know that animetrix kind of flick they did) ...
-I think that the Green Lantern Movie is gonna be awesome...but I think the CGI Costume looks awkward, they should have gone with a real suit instead of CGI, but thats just me.
-As for the Batman tv show, Batman should be played by David Boreanaz ,the guy who played Angel in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, just cause I think he would make an awesome Batman. I think studio(?) made a bad decision picking Bale over him, even tho Bale did a good job. I still couldnt get over his American Psycho movie performance where he was a real nice business guy but secrelty he was a hooker killing, body collecting, exercising-while-watching-porn freak. The entire time I was watching Batman Begins I was like "So when is he gonna kill Katie Holmes?!"
-Again that just me. What do you guys think?
I hate to be that guy who continues this trend but I have to comment that Sara look incredibly hot in this week's news.
I'm Sorry..but..My focus was on Sarah...I bet she gets tons of nerd guys asking her hand to merry them lol
No podcast yet. = ( How am I going to go to sleep properly tonight without Tony, Sara, and possibly Norm talking about this week's comics, then continue and finish the podcast tomorrow?!
As for the GL trailer, it's meh. Batman TV series? Meh. The important thing is Catwoman making hentai tentacle rape jokes in Batman Inc., then happening upon the last page of the book and kind of coming unglued in a hysterical fit of "I can't believe Morrison has that big of brass balls to write something like that".
I believe Batman should stop at the movies. The list of heroes that have lasted on the small screen include heroes that deal with "bank robberies" or "mom and pap" stores, and that was good when Adam West was wearing the briefs, but now, Batman has been accepted into the next level, into the "I have armor that can deflect any missile, I have an army based vehicle. It is great in the movies, but I just do not see very many people swallowing this weekly.
By the way, Keep your hair long XXX
I have mixed feelings about the Green Lantern trailer. It looks well enough. I just don't know if Ryan Reynolds is right for Hal Jordan. He feels much more like the Flash. With his quirky and fast beat comedy.
When you see just how "form fitting" that Green Lantern outfit is. It makes me wonder how they are going to pull off image of the female Green Lanterns? Will it end up being similar to how they did Mystique in the X-Men movies? Though, now that idea is making me more interested in this movie.
Dark Knight does not need to be a TV show. Why does Hollywood always need to take something and never let it end? It's just a cash cow to them. Their mind set seems to be, "Well, the last one made us a lot of money. Let's make another one, then another one.". They take what was well done, and run it until people get so annoyed that they hate it, ala the previous Batman movies before the reboot. End on a high note. Leave them wanting more, as they say.
The the whole advent of the Marvel TV division. I'm worried this will just create over exposure. A live action Hulk with minimal CG. I know the director does some amazing things with puppets, but I don't see how that works with Hulk.
Did she really close this with, "Sara, out!"???
" I'm Sorry..but..My focus was on Sarah...I bet she gets tons of nerd guys asking her hand to merry them lol "I find it completely unacceptable that you would use merry (an adjective meaning happy or cheerful) as a verb. Your sins will not be forgotten!
" I have to say I'm disappointed with the Green Lantern movie so far. "how can you already be disappointed when it hasnt come out yet??? :)
I am with Babs, they should let Batman lie low for a while the TV show i think will be rushed and crappy. Just because the Walking Dead is great everyone will now just spew crap on to the small screen. If its well done then it will be great and I would love a live action Batman tv show but it will not be good. All signs point to this show being a waste of money and time
" @Nobody said:Based off the trailer. I'm hoping for the best, but I don't like what I see." I have to say I'm disappointed with the Green Lantern movie so far. "how can you already be disappointed when it hasnt come out yet??? :) "
Okay everyone. Am I wrong about this or was Hal Jordan NOT in the military in any way? Wasn't he an illustrator or something? I'm going to go look at the wiki now.
i don't know. maybe they should stop after the Dark knight rises. But Batman is one of the biggest names in comic books. So i can see why they wouldnt want to stop having him out there, especially now that comics are pretty big this year and will continue to be for awhile. IF they do a live action i can see it being decent -good. I don't think they should do one tho doesnt seem like a too good of an idea. GL trailers looks dumb as hell. And i havent read superboy earth one yet but its superman guys! He needs another comics book series ok! <---- sarcasm btw
i think another live action batman tv show would be a bad idea
really any live action super hero tv show, I don not think is a good idea
Sara, looking at this trailer for the first time had me on pins and needles, because I am a fan of Hal and the CORPS, plus I would love to see the GL movie do well. But I will say this, they did stayed pretty close to the original costume even though it looks more close to Kyle Rayner's.
The trailer for me revealed too much making me feel as if they were trying really hard to sale us this movie, I think we all know Green Lantern is followed heavily by it's loyal comic book fans, it the other group of movie goers Warner is trying to convince.
What they should have done was teased us just a little, with bits and pieces of the trailer, then let the masses speak for themselves after seeing this movie! I wish this movie much success because it is the first of intergalactic comic book heroes from DC.
Your thinking of kyle rayner, he was the illustrator, Hal jordan is a pilot and has been forever." Okay everyone. Am I wrong about this or was Hal Jordan NOT in the military in any way? Wasn't he an illustrator or something? I'm going to go look at the wiki now. "
