I have been considering liquidating my individual comic issue collection and strictly collecting trades and graphic novels. I find it more tedious to manage my collection these days. What do you all think? Am I in a phase or should I sell?
The left smaller shelf and the bottom of the middle shelf are all TPB's.The shelf under the window is all TPB's, the right hand shelf is mostly TPB's, with Absolute HC's on bottom. The left hand shelf has a shelf of comic related novels.Most of my single issues, but......there's more in the closet.
These pics were taken at the end of 2010. The collection has grown very little since then, due to finances. But there are another 35-50 boxes in storage in another state. :}

That's Die offizielle Marvel-Comic-Sammlung a collection of the best Marvel stories of the last few decades. I'm adding the volumes as soon as I buy them, so the ones on the volume page are the ones I own.
I've been getting a lot more trades lately. This week I'm waiting on Harbinger Deluxe Edition Vol 1 and Captain America: Winter Soldier, in preparation for the movie, of course. I'll try to do an updated photo if I remember as I've bought Think Tank Vol 1, Inhumans, and Spawn Origins Vol 1, and a few others over the past month or two. I'm also reading Preacher now, but they're all a friend's copies. I may buy my own. Yes, yes I know. I'm waay behind just now reading it, but it's been a ton of fun. :-)
This is one of my favorite comics I one which I just got. It is signed by both Greg Capullo and Scott Snyder and it is issue #25. Im sure you are all aware that they are the two main people working on this comic. I also like that Capullo made a little batman sketch on it.
My total comic collection totals up to around 100, not including the comics I get from the app store or that are digital on my computer.

Edit: After being a part for some time, my good friend informed me that he shipped the rest of my stuff that I had at his house (mostly comics) via Amtrak. I just hope everything gets here okay and that the wife isn't too mad with us having to make two trips to get everything from the station. o_O
@emh_bruce: I like how the spines of the Marvel books seems to combine to make a picture (if you had them all). I got all those in the single issues so never really had a look at the collected editions you show.

That is VERY cool. But it's a German edition (right?) which would explain why I'd never seen it.
@bbretall: It is, tho I saw some (the same?) covers with spanish text on the internet, so maybe Panini made some for the other languages they publish too. (Panini is the european publisher of Marvel & DC comics). The volume collects stories like Civil War, Winter Soldier, Planet Hulk etc.

Suitable given this summer's blockbusters
nice collection man, I have the first appearance of deadpool and the first appearance of venom to! The deadpool comic is rising in value reaaaaaaaaly quickly.
So I finally got the Kracalactaka Den/Lair cleaned up and organized to the point that this past weekend I actually was comfortable with having guests take a look. Then I thought I'd better take some pics for posterity before it devolves again into comics, toys and misc item strewn all over the floor and every available surface. Highlights include the comic decoupage spool tables and the magazine spinner rack. I wanted an immersive environment (and to cover up the ugly red & black paint that I did not feel like repainting) so just about every bit of wall (and door) is covered. All the comic covers you see all over the walls are just computer printouts. As I acquire more posters/prints I just take down some printouts and use them for decoupage.
You may notice that the "entertainment center" is antiquated and that is deliberate. I have a lot of old stuff in here, so to me it adds to the ambiance to have 8-Track music and VHS movies. (I watched Heavy Metal on VHS while I was rearranging some shelves just prior to taking these pics)
The comic decoupage long boxes are pretty much full. So as of now that is 10 short boxes and 4 long boxes for my comic collection. (Not counting the 2 long boxes or so worth of fodder I keep around for decoupage.)
