Comic Book Women
Okay, first of all, let's work on grammar. Second I guess from the 60s they wanted perfect bodies for women in comics to represent that even in that perfect body, they can still kick ass in any situation. That's my take on it.
I love Emma Frost, not only is she hot, but she might be the most powerful mutant left. Must female characters are as strong as they are hot, and lets face it, there are more men readers than female, but even the guys are ripped and in perfect shape its not just the woman.

The only exception I could think of is right now is Wolverine. He may have a ripped body, but he's got hair all over (even on his back!) and he's short too. He's a popular character and guys can probably relate to this.
The only female character that annoys the hell out of me is Power Girl. How does she even take off with those? I guess I'm new to comics so I'm still getting used to the over-exaggeration of women but seriously, how does she not fall out of that bloody top when she's getting her butt kicked by Supergirl? (plus the character just annoys me on principle)
Power Girl's thing is she uses her...endowment to her advantage. That's why she has that little peak hole in her costume. Guys' attention will be drawn to her...cleavage and then she can take them out without a fuss. Same with Emma. When she first hooked up in the Hellfire Club and all the women were made to dress like that, she knew it gave her power over the weak-minded males.
What happened to the old Magneto? The Magneto that would put a pic of a half naked PowerGirl up just to make a point?
There are already a couple in the women in red thread. I wonder more about Lara Croft though, how does she creep around tombs with small entry and passage ways without getting stuck. She must carry a jar of crisco around with her.
One of the reasons I'm loving this new Buffy series is that they haven't over-exaggerated her given that she's a comic character now. I know she was before but this is almost official since it leads right on from Season 7 of the TV series.
That's true. I liked Buffy, but Angel was more fun. I liked that the comics are actually very good and still managed to keep the spirit of the story that Joss Whedon made.
I was speculating with the guy who runs my local comic store that Joss might just write the season 6 of Angel if season 8 of Buffy goes well. That'd just rock!
I like how he "fixed" the fact that Buffy had hooked up with the Immortal in the last season of Angel. It was like on the second page even. I take it he wasn't too crazy about that.
I was worried that they'd exagerate Buffy in the comics also. But with Joss involved, I'm sure he has say over the art.
I haven't been able to read many comics in a bout a year, so I am still trying to catch up and figure everything out. I also like Firefly. Short lived and awesome.
Walkingstone says:
"Oh yeah! I've just read the Serenity graphic, it was good but it didn't explain enough for me."
Did you see Sereniy?

I saw Serenity, of course I saw Serenity, please! You're talking to a brown coat here, of course I saw it. It was better than the graphic but there's still so much to explain, like Blue Sun. Always assumed that had something to do with the guys with the blue hands but it doesn't.
Darkchild says:
"i love the show and i loved Jayne the most he was so damn funny"
Oh yeah, he was great. Though my favourite is River, she's just so weird and off the wall. I can't wait for the next movie if they still make it.
We can all rise together and take over the world, demand that they make more firefly movies and bring back Book and Wash!!
I was always hoping to find out more about Book's past. Can't believe Whedon killed him off before we got all the dirt on him.
A way to keep us hanging and wanting more. I just don't think the box-office reciepts were enough to warrant another movie. I know the movie came about because of the kick-@$$ dvd sales. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
You sound the charge, we'll storm the castle! I've got your flank... Ahem, sorry, got a little carried away.
Ah, Firefly fans. The only ones that comic book fans can look down their noses at and say, "Well, at least we're not as rabid as they are!"
I didn't even know there was an SF branch. Guess I didn't get the memo.

Hey! :P It takes a particular quality of person to be a fan of Firefly. We are a league of our own!

Book can stay dead as far as I'm concerned. I wanted to know about his past, but he doesn't have to be alive to tell me about it. Wash, I want back.
