We can watch Thor: The Dark World all over again now that the blu-ray is on sale, but instead of looking back, we wanted to have some fun speculating about the Asgardian's future. A third movie has been confirmed and, while we could have asked which villain or story you'd want to see (99% of the votes would have likely gone to Loki), we figured that thinking about a team-up would be much more entertaining to ponder. What would Thor's dynamic be like if he had to embark on a mission with one of the other heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? The Comic Vine community had two days to pick a teammate for Thor and, in the end, they decided to side with the Hulk!

Brace yourself, Thor...
Brace yourself, Thor...

It's pretty easy to understand why the Green Goliath received so much love. After all, a team-up between these two heavy hitters as they take on threats from different realms has the potential to be popcorn entertainment at its best. Plus, with the Hulk involved, there's always a chance the duo would wind up fighting each other at some point. Who can honestly say they wouldn't want to see a second round between these two titans? Furthermore, Hulk hasn't really received the same amount of screentime as some the others, so it would be cool to see the big dude get some extra focus and development as he faces new challenges with the Son of Odin. Comic Viner Jayc1324 also voted for Banner and made a concise post explaining why.

"Voted the Hulk and because they are both powerhouses, had awesome interactions in the Avengers, and because the Hulk hasn't had a movie in six years and has not been pushed as much as the others."

Coming in second place was the "other" option. Many of these voters said they really want to see characters who have yet to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (e.g. Beta Ray Bill, Hercules). Sif earned third place. She hasn't had much focus in the Thor movies, but at least it's confirmed she'll appear in an upcoming episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.Here's hoping it's more than a short and simple cameo. Meanwhile, Nick Fury is in last place and he's thoroughly disappointed. He's not really an enemy you want to have, so I recommend apologizing asap. Anyway, check out the rest of the poll results below.

Did you vote for Hulk, and, if so, why do you think a team-up between the two would rule? Don't be shy, speak your mind below. Also, don't forget to check the homepage next Tuesday for an all-new Question of the Week. Until then, you're totally welcome to make question suggestions below or send them via Twitter. See you then, Viners.

I voted for Drax! We already saw the Avengers all team up beforehand, and we've seen he and Sif team up some. But it'd be really cool to see the Destroyer and the Asgardian Prince team up. I'd love to see them fight side-by-side (maybe in the third Avengers movie against Thanos?).

How about further exploring the Nine Realms and the numerous characters Thor can have adventures with; namely Sif and the Warrior's Three. Thor will have plenty of adventures with his Avenger teammates in the second installment of the Avengers films. Sif and the Warriors Three already had to take a backseat to Jane, Selvig and Darcy in The Dark World (which hurt the movie badly, IMO). The third Thor film should (and likely will) explain what happened with Odin, resolve the issues between all three and have an all-out war with Surtur where the Asgardians have to unite with the Jotuns, Vanir and others. And, for god's sake, let the third film heavily feature the Nine Realms as opposed to showing Darcy and her stupid intern boyfriend.

Voted Rocket because a Norse god fighting alongside a talking raccoon is the best thing ever.

I voted for the Hulk as like it was written he hasn't been given the love like other characters. This would finally allow the possibility of a new Hulk movie which is what I really want.

Seems like the suitable choice for thor, would make for an awesome dynamic movie.

And a possible lead-in to a Mark Ruffalo Hulk movie. (You've finally got a consistent actor Marvel, use him!)

Voted Other for Ghost Rider (lightning+hellfire=AWESOME), but I understand why Hulk won, and I agree, a team-up between the heavy-hitters would be sick. I just can't believe Rocket and Sif got ahead of Cap, though.

Voted Hawkeye just because he needs more screen time I mean look at how they're pimping out Black Widow (Iron Man 2, Cap 2, Avengers, and Avengers 2) Hawkeye got a bit part in Thor and wasn't himself for the majority of Avengers he needs more screen time as himself.

Hulk isn't a bad choice though they had great chemistry in Avengers.

Seems like they're going to have Banner and Stark be science buddies from here on out. Judging by the mini "cameo" by Evans in The Dark World, I'd bet somehow Cap would be first to make an appearance in the third Thor film as opposed to Hulk.

@jonny_anonymous: I could not agree more. Rocket could elevate Thor's popularity! Plus since Groot is Rocky's rolling buddy he'd likely be there as well.

I voted Iron Man, but I'd love to see a Hulk-Thor live action team-up. Just to erase the memory of the bad TV show. For Bixby's sake, how did that ever happen?

I'd rather have a Loki movie, he was much more likeable and competent in the dark world then Thor was... Maybe have him get himself in a bind then have to team up with Thor, after an awkward conversation.

But ideally I'd just like a Loki movie to set a president for Villain movies.

Kind of off topic but anyone else not really care about the Warriors 3 and only want to see more of Sif? She has way more character than them with so little screen time.

All this does is remind me of the worst part of the Avengers movie.

While it was easily the most hilarious part of the movie...(the closest I ever actually came to "rofl")...it took away from what could have been the best sequence in the whole movie.

The Hulk/Thor teamwork on that "dragon" was so damn awesome...then ruined by the absurd punch from Hulk.

I'm sure I'm definitely in the extreme minority on that one...but that scene would have been so much better without that punch. It really ruined it, in my opinion.
