How do you feel about her power level? Thanos still basically threw her around but they both could take what each other could dish out. She stopped him from closing his fist but then she was taken out by one power stone punch for the rest of the fight. She wasn't a Mary Sue in the end but she was definitely a threat to him as where Thor and Scarlett Witch. I like how they did the fight.
Captain Marvel in Endgame (Spoilers)
@geraltsopinion: the only Gary stu in the movie was captain America.
@geraltsopinion: Thor was a threat to him? When? Lmao.
Anyways, at first I found it stupid and outrageous how she could physically contend with him, I mean before I only joked about her being the strongest, but seeing her no show a headbutt from Thanos and forcing him to use a stone to defeat her made me hate her.
With that little jewel I remembered Thanos looking shook when he saw her destroy his ship, and the girl power line up... I just finally accepted the Feminist Kool-Aid being forced down my throat. Captain Marvel is the strongest and I don't care anymore. With the butchering of my favorite high tier and Thanos being undermined by everything, I don't care about power levels anymore.
I am converting to Street-Levelism. They never let me down before :,)
that girl was too strong in my opinion. thanos should have been a greater threat without the stones in my opinion.
Since the Thanos the heroes fought and defeated in Endgame was actually a Thanos 9 years younger than the one that dominated in Infinity War I figured he was just a bit weaker or perhaps a tad less experienced. Either way, I thought Carol was under used for all of the hoopla around her on one hand, but I certainly didn't want to see her come in and knock everyone around like they were ping-pong balls. I guess they handled it okay considering. The movie really didn't do much to change my opinion of her, though. On the other hand, Wanda moved way up on my respect list.
@Penguin-Dust: Dude, Thanos in Infinity war was always holding back and merciful while Thanos in Endgame was, angry mad,and not holding back.
We see that energy was released when 2014 Thanos wielded the gauntlet for the first time, but did he also enhance his strength by imbuing the Stones'energy in his hand? When Carol came back to arm wrestle with him, there was some blue energy around Thanos. Don't know if I mistook that for Carol's Binary energy or not.
@tobymaguire: So, are you saying that Infinity War Thanos who was holding back and won was lesser than Endgame Thanos who was not holding back and lost?
@Penguin-Dust: He was using infinity stones throughout infinity war other than his fight with Hulk. He could have killed Avengers easily in infinity war but he spared them
In Endgame, he was trying to kill everybody.
She was absorbing energy from the gauntlet, blue aura was flowing, she was getting stronger while holding tha gauntlet cause of the space stone
Yeah its been confirmed that he wasnt really trying to kill anyone unless they specifically got in the way of his destiny
But in endgame he wasnt holding back

Erm, he was clearly trying to kill them on Titan. You don't drop a fricken moon on someone if you are not trying to kill them lol. Tired of people trying to push this 'holding back' agenda. The reason he seems stronger in EG is because the power levels are a mess and Russos threw consistency to the wayside
Yeah its been confirmed that he wasnt really trying to kill anyone unless they specifically got in the way of his destiny

Like I said to the other guy, you don't drop an entire moon on someone if you're not trying to kill them
@gxrevs06: 1)He used the infinity stone to do that not with his base power. In endgame he did not have infinity stones
2) Yes, He was trying to kill them in Titan fight after they almost managed to get gauntlet off him. However he did spare Thor, Guardians and rest of Avengers in Wakanda
@gxrevs06: Can see why you think that but if he was trying to kill then he would as he had multiple stones, anyway your opinion doesnt matter as the russos confirmed that he wasnt just killing everyone
I do see what you mean but he had the stones so probally knew exactly where the chunks of the moon where going, it was just parts of thr surface not the entire moon

The Russos are contradicting themselves then because we clearly see Thanos was serious in the fight. You don't drop a moon on someone you are not trying to kill
Carol served as a last minute saving the day party trick, and an excuse to quickly get Stark home. No idea where she was the rest of the film, tho. I thought she'd at least do something, but apparently they just keep her for the really tough stuff.
I have to say, tho, that scene where the women all line-up was bad@ss and you cannot convince me otherwise.

The biggest part of the moon that actually survived the trip to Titan was what, building sized at best? Stop trying to spread misinformation.
Well, her power level was very fluctuating I must say. At one point Thanos is tossing her around as he is everyone else, and at the other she is single-handedly wrecking his ship and making him use a freaking Infinity Gem to actually get rid of her.
As a whole I must say she was an annoyance.

They were huge ass meteors nonetheless, Mr Pedantic. The point is you don't that if you not trying to kill someone
I didn’t mind her that much, but the fact that in the final battle she got 3 of the hottest moments (Ship destroying, Headbutt and Plowing through the army) was annoying when Thor was just being ragdolled and Hulk did absolutely nothing.
You had Strange stopping the Flood, Wanda crushing Thanos, Carol plowing through the army. And Giant Man stomping Cull I’d keep those. I’d have had Hulk recreate the Leviathan feat from A1 instead of Giant Man, Have Carol’s head go back with the headbutt like Wonder Woman when Superman did it to her and have both Carol and Thor destroy the ship. It would’ve felt more balanced imo
It was balanced but one scene bugged me where Thnaos gives her a full on headbutt but she doesn't even register it.
Kind of what would happen if he punched someone like DCEU Superman or if Thor hit the same guy.
This, everything was fine until she didn't even move from a headbutt, that was ridiculous.

Thor was in dire need of a redeeming moment, he should have been the one to destroy Thanos' ship, I actually thought he was going to do that, sadly it was Manvers.
Imagine this, the ship starts firing down on The Avengers, then the scene shifts to Thor who says "You took everything from me and I was unable to stop it, and now you want to take from me the only thing I have left, my friends, my family, The Avengers,.......this shall not happen" then he goes flying, we hear thunder and see a cloud forming, then a massive lightning bolt comes from the sky and tears Thanos' ship apart.
If that had happened, I'd forgive them for what they did to Thor, he needed a redeeming moment and this was the perfect occasion. I'm sure general audience would have absolutely loved it as it would be a deja-vu of how he turned the tides on Infinity War, a moment that was praised by everyone, and with that he would still be seen as a badass and powerhouse for the general audience.

There was one huge ass meteor, Mr Ignore-Context-When-I-Want. If you know they're nothing more than meteors and meteorites, then don't say "entire moon" when trying to prove your opinion (which is invalidated by the word of the Russo brothers anyway).
@geraltsopinion: the only Gary stu in the movie was captain America.
Haha, no. He got beaten up pretty badly and his shield broke. He did better than IW Iron Man since he broke Thanos' helmet, disarmed him, and got him on the ground, but no one is going to say he's the strongest or unbeatable.
@thor_parker82: That would’ve made me hella aroused lmfao, Thor was my only major gripe with the movie. He sucked and other than the beginning, scene with his mother, him calling both hammers, and the final scenes with Val and the Guardians I just didn’t care for him....and he’s my third favourite fictional character of all time so it was a let down.
Hulk doing the snap and holding up the compound with one arm were at least ??? (him doing the snap is technically speaking on par with the Star Forge feat but not as visually impressive)
@rebake: hahaha yes. Got mjolnir out of nowhere, somehow was able to hold stormbreaker even tho he has a mortal mind and body, better with mjolnir instantly than thor with thousands of times more experience. Did better than the hulk against thanos. You have to be a massive fanboy to not see something so clearly painful.

Steve was better with Mjolnir than a fat, out of shape, depressed and psychologically damaged Thor, he did not use Mjolnir better than prime Thor, not even close, looks at his use of it against the Frost Giants, against Muspelheim demons and Surtur to name a few, Steve never came close to replicating that mastery with Mjolnir, the impressive things he did was in conjunction with his shield, not the hammer itself.
As for holding Stormbreaker, when Steve lifted Mjolnir, he gained the powers of Thor, the inscription on the hammer literally says that, and the power of Thor includes his stats, meaning strength and durability, which is why he could grab Stormbreaker.

I wouldn't say he sucked but I indeed expected much more from him after how badass he was on Infinity War.
As for Hulk, not to diminish the feat, it was great, but he managed to do it because most of the power released was gamma radiation, Banner himself stated that it's as if he was made for that.
@thor_parker82: hahaha haha gain the power of thor. It was stated mjolnir didn't hold thor's power merely helped thor control it better. No it doesn't stop spouting untruthful shit you moron go watch ragnarok. Mjolnir does not have thor's powers or how else would thor have his own powers without mjolnir.

We all know that Cap being worthy was teased in Age of Ultron. Worthy users of Mjolnir get Thor's power, so why can't Cap hold Stormbreaker while he's still magically buffed? And based on the knowledge that Stormbreaker affects the mind, Cap was very likely granted the knowledge to use the hammer properly by the hammer (which he can handle with the power of Thor). He went for more basic hammer attacks at first then went for lightning attacks likely after his mind adapted. He still can't/didn't fly or control it like Thor did in Ragnarok. If you have problems with Cap doing better than Hulk with THOR'S power, you should refer to Iron Man doing better first. Really, that's a Hulk problem of being too weak and unskilled, not Cap or Iron Man being too strong when they have clear buffs. So I'm still laughing bc Cap lost to Thanos pretty badly despite his buff, yet you're salty.
Captain Marvel being stronger than Thanos was stupid. She made him gasp when she destroyed his ship and he had a look of shock when she straight up no showed one of his attacks, forcing him to use the power stone.

It's not the source of Thor's strength since he has powers naturally. But the spell that allows the hammer to grant the wielder power was never removed much like the worthiness spell. If Thor got depowered again, Mjolnir can return his power to him as well as heal him up. The two hammers Thor has used in the MCU both have extra abilities beyond just channeling lightning.
*edit: it is possible that Cap may also have Thor's lightning control/generation ability with his body when holding the hammer, but it took centuries for Thor to discover that and he always just used the hammer. So Cap just used the training wheel method of lighting control with the hammer since he just got that power. He didn't do anything too fancy with Mjolnir and lightning, just phase 1 Thor stuff.

No need for the insults haha, but man, thanks for this, now I know to just avoid altogether talking to you.
You clearly lack such a crucial yet simple aspect of Thor's character and mythos, that I just have to show this to a couple of guys to have a good laugh.

I was fine with everything that happened and everything she did except for her no-selling the headbutt. It was my only gripe in the movie because she just shouldn't be that durable.
@thor_parker82: literally watch thor ragnarok. I don't know why you're bringing 616 into this.
@the_living_tribunal_24: I never brought 616 into this, you just don't understand, Thor has his powers naturally, but the hammer has the ability to grant his powers to whoever wields it, go watch the first Thor movie, Ragnarok never contradicted that, the inscription on the hammer literally states that.
But go ahead and keep insulting everyone and condescending.

In EndGame Cap also wields (briefly) Stormbreaker because in that moment he has the Power of Thor...
