@saberscar223: Haven't read 1984 Secret Wars yet, so not sure

2015 Secret Wars was basically about the multiverse imploding and Earths crashing together, resulting in everything being wiped out except for a couple of 616 Heroes and Villains (and also Miles Morales). Doctor Doom used the power of the Beyonders to make like a patchwork quilt "Game of Thrones" style world out of bits of the multiverse, and rules it as a god. The 616 Heroes and Villains (and also Miles Morales) arrive and are like "...the shit?"

Secret War 2004-2005

Nick Fury led a group of hand selected superheroes into Latveria on a secret war.

The US government didn't sanction the action, the heroes in question (Spider-Man, Captain America, Daredevil, Wolverine, and Luke Cage) don't remember going (...).

Fury believed that Latveria and their prime minister Lucia von Bardas were supporting terrorism by equipping B-List super villains with high-tech equipment.

Whatever happened during the secret war was bad, it was shameful, and Fury has hidden the truth ever since.

Now it's the present and the secret war has returned to bite him. Spidey, Daredevil, Captain America, S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Fantastic Four are facing horde of augmented villains.

This event is unlinked to the Secret Wars events.

Hickman’s Secret Wars honestly aged so well. It’s a classic.

OP just read the New Avengers arc right before it.
