Can quark manipulation be considered the highest form of matter manipulation?

There have probably been fictional universes where there exists particles smaller than quarks, and have had characters manipulate them.

@takenstew22: on a pure physical and non metaphysical sense? Sure, it really depends if you're directly manipulating the quarks or using fundamental forces to do it imo.

That is an appeal to reality fallacy. I believe the question is in relation to fictional verses, which is what this site is about. In fiction, there are many characters that go beyond quarks

Now that being said, I will agree with you that in the real world. Quantum strings are theoretical things that I guess you can say is more fundamental than quarks.

@tomtheawesome123: fair enough, but even in verses like marvel you have characters like the silver surfer and Brian Braddock who can manipulate quantum energy(vibrations) or flat out control the strings themselves in case of Brian, this made Brian insanely powerful, he's down right considered a reality warper while the surfer can affect concepts like time to the point of "peeling layers of time".

this is fiction using any real physics here is nonsense controlling quarks or any other fundamental particles is impossible because of the uncertainty principle
