Can MCU Strange slow down or stop time in combat?

With Time Gem he almost surely can.

Yes he can.

He didn’t do it against Thanos because he had nothing that would kill the Titan. And if his allies were frozen too, it would be pointless.

Has the Time Gem ever even done either of those things? Anyway he doesn't do so because fabric of the universe and whatnot so not much point to the question.

He can slow, stop, and even reverse it. It was shown explicitly in his solo movie.

Yes and No. The question is a bit vague. Not all combat scenarios and opponents are the same. If he was in combat and had time to evade his opponent or find a way to immobilize them, then he could activate the eye and the cast a spell. Otherwise he's not getting the chance without some prep. Kaecilius almost stabbed him and he was like 60 meters away from Strange.

Not anymore now that he lost the time gem. With it, yeah, he did it againat Kaecillius and the other Zelots. Shame they happened to draw power from a being that is outside of time and could get out, but even the other Sorcerers like Wong and Mordo could not move anymore.

But seriously I would imagine he’s only able to do so with the Time Stone. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up getting it back in the future somehow.

@stahlflamme: it's not really combat applicable because it takes a bit of time to activate. Like kaecillius almost killed him despite being far from him

He has done this which is why the Thanos Fight was PIS in favor of Thanos.

Honestly idk how this astral form spell work.

Maybe he can, at times, using some ability or spell which could maybe only be exclusive to astral form stuff for other people.

Could be a possibility. He just statued everything around him while Spiderman barely moved an inch.
