Can MCU Spider-Man replicate this striking feat?
@frozen: MCU Spider-Man has 1,700 ton strength, so yes.
The Mysterio scene also makes no sense when you really think about it: why was Spider-Man trying to punch someone with enough strength to break concrete? Even if he was surprised, why did punching concrete hurt him when he's punched much more durable surfaces (Thanos)?
The writers/directors/producers makes mistakes like this all the time; such as Spider-Man struggling with a 3 ton elevator when in his previous showing in Civil War he caught a falling structure weighing at least 30 tons (with the impact force making it weigh even more than that).
He does so with a finger flick
What's his best striking feat?
@godamonginsects: Troll harder
Are we forgtting that MCU Spidey held up both a bell tower and a ferry?
That's a strength feat, not striking.

You do realize both of those put him above a thousand tons right? That should put him above 2 tons in striking.
@superdarth: Strength and striking differs all the time. There's a correlation but moving a moon doesn't mean you can punch one apart.
Also, punching a car against it's own momentum and sending it flying the direction it came from requires a lot more than 2 tons.

Even with that disparity and if we assume, punching a car like that requires a high-end amount of force, you're saying Spidery's lifting strength is waaaay more than his striking strength, which is ridiculous.

I mean going by feats, it quite literally is. He hurt his hand hitting concrete. Even if we chalk that up as a low showing, I don't recall many striking feats from him. He usually uses gear and webs to win.

He also staggered Thanos with his punches. There's a striking feat for him.

So did Captain America, Quill and Gamora (with her weapon). Neither of those characters could rep the car feat in the OP.

That happens in every super hero show or comic book to build tension. It would be pretty boring if peter effortlessly beat everyone that is a lower tier to him. That’s why he just doesn’t instantly web up everyone or just speed blitz street levelers.
Hmm... that feat is very interesting. I'll try to do a calc for it when I get the time... maybe later today actually.
A typical aerobridge weighs 27 metric tons (or 29.8 US tons) and the impact force itself is in the thousands of tons.
Spider-Man held together a 2,794 ton ferry together (not including the weight of the cars and people) in Homecoming for 8 seconds after all of his webs broke, before Iron Man showed up.
Spider-Man also held up a 1,700 ton tower (not including the weight of all the objects inside the tower itself) in Far From Home.

Captain America did not stagger Thanos, he tilted the latter's chin up, but otherwise Thanos no-sold it.
Gamora was fighting a fake Thanos, not the real one. And when Quill attacked Thanos, the latter was restrained by multiple people and being kept asleep by Mantis.
Spider-Man's strikes were capable of moving Thanos' entire body and he was grunting in pain from each one of them; and keep in mind, those types of strikes aren't even the most powerful ones compared to other techniques (Spider-Man throwing a proper hook punch is going to be far more powerful than whatever momentum he's putting behind his body when jumping through those portals).
The Mysterio-concrete scene is a laughable outlier and the fact that you're using it as evidence undermines this entire thread.
He doesn't have striking feats for us to compare
He has a bunch of striking feats.
Scaling things like Giantman and Thanos.
IronSpider had a few good feats like oneshotting outriders.
Without the IronSpider or any scaling scaling he has Quantifiable things like punching stark drones clean in half and busting 4 inches of ballistic glass
This is usually used for speed, but I think his punches and kicks are pretty good here.
——-
OT: He could at least stop the car dead in its tracks.
but I’m not sure he can redirect it with a punch quite like SM did in the OP.

Interesting striking feats for regular Spidey that I didn't know lol but I don't think its enough to showcase the feat like what the Op stated

Ye I’m thinking he can stop it, but not redirected it quite like that.. here’s that car catch he did on Tony’s phone…. But the tie in comic version.. I think he could probably do that to the car in the OP, but not punch it away.
..oh and i learned this red seal is on the official tie ins now... that red A
He doesn't have quantifiable striking feat that's close to that level, but here in CV he's a thousand or multi-thousand tonner so he casually finger flicks it.
@hydratedfubuki6: hell you even have someone on comicvine that believes that he can stomp Reeves superman.

He's definitely trolling with that lol. Or at least I hope he is.
Never understood people separating a character's lifting and striking that much.
A character that can lift (e.g.) 100 tons isn't going to hit like a wet noodle.
MCU Spider-Man does it even better.
However, DCEU Superman, WW or Aquaman couldn't come even close to replicate that.
Lol, what? You think DCEU Superman can't do that? He bent a car by blocking it and he has way more feat to prove that he can do something like this (pulling a ship, etc...)
