Realistically a normal person would probably be killed.

I don't think anyone can take a full punch to the jaw without hassle.

Not walk off, but that wouldn't necessarily KO anyone.

An average Joe gets rocked at the very least. Most get knocked out.

There's nobody who can walk off a punch from a heavily conditioned 6'4" guy who's had decades to perfect his technique and is wearing brass knuckles. Most people end up in A&E.

No way in any hell.

Not even MMA fighters. MMA fighters do get knocked out by direct punches to the jaws. That’s how TKOs happen. They’re just really good at dodging or disrupting the full impact.

@kgb725: wrong

Increased muscle mass produce more stress on bone which results after long times of increased bone density

Furthermore fighters and athletes also condition their muscles and bones by impact, creating micro fractures so the bones heal far stronger

The reason some people can put huge loads on their bones without trouble whereas some can't, humans durability is not the same and this isn't even taking into account size of muscle densisty

You can believe me or not, I got in a fight with a kid over something stupid, broke his jaw with a punch and he still got up and ran away. Now the legal trouble afterwards wasnt worth the punch, but a punch can cause massive damage wothout actually knocking someone out, which is why ithink that this punch could be walked off.

It really isn't. It's called conditioning. Kicking trees, kicking each others legs, getting hit in the face 24/7. You learn to take hits. They don't just tell you you can do it and you won't get knocked out. You don't have to be huge and musclebound to learn to take hits.

@boblegod: Then why do some of the smaller fighters who aren't huge or musclebound like Leonard Garcia or the Korean zombie like to fight and can take hits while most of the heavyweights get rocked with 1 clean hit regardless if they're musclebound or not ?

@kgb725: I didn't say that but when your bones heal after micro fractures your bone density increases which would make you more durable

And you can't compare a smaller fighter being hit by a smaller fighter

Muscles doesn't increase your striking power but mass does increase it a lot, the difference between being hit by a middle weight to heavyweight is huge let alone fly weight to heavy

Because a lot of MMA fighters either have suspect chins and they're getting hit by huge dudes who punch he hardest in the game. Those heavy weights are going to get knocked out by little dudes like that. These professional heavyweights are getting hit by other professional heavyweights. You cannot say that a guy who isn't a professional fighter can knock these guys out the same way because they don't have the same type of power regardless of them being the same size. You also cannot say that these normal dudes can take the same hits when they aren't used to it. Especially when its from a professional fighter who hits way harder than regular people.
