An advanced alien taser device is delivering electric charge directly into Thor’s nervous system. Would he automatically absorb all electricity harmlessly or can he be incapacitated by taser devices of sufficiently advanced technology?

  1. I think the Obedience Discs delivered some form of toxin, not electricity.
  2. I don't think any form of electricity would work after his god-realisation-thunder whatever in Ragnarok - although that's pretty headcanon.

I'm pretty sure it won't do anything to 616 Thor.

The obedience disk isn't so taser. It worked on silver surfer in the comics. The director also confirmed the device depowers the individual when activated.

OT: yes it will definitely work.

Lol....the disks in ragnarok were electricity, you can literally compare it to any taser video you can find and it matches.

So no, won't do anything to 616 thor

It depends on how advanced, a writer could literally come up with some BS that an advanced civilization has the technology to affect gods. If this was the first appearance, it wouldn't be a low showing for Thor given there isn't anything about said device prior to contradict.

It would just be the advanced civilization is that potent with its technology. So long as later down the line, this civilization remains consistent, then it would be fine.

Alien tech in Marvel can usually deal with heroes however much the plot demands so sure if the writer says so.

Yes it happened in the Cho Hulk comment when he fights Thor in Sakaar who had the obedience disk attached to him.

If it's the 616 version of the obidence disk, then yes, because Hulk and Silver Surfer(Both being at or around Thor's level) we're contained by it.
