Which one looks powerful overall?

Avatar image for richubs

Obviously the BvS final battle was more powerful.

A lot more destruction and more powerful characters fighting.

I'd pick Titan battle if it was that consistent throughout. Thanos throwing the moon is more powerful that anything that happened in the DCEU so far but things like that didn't really happen consistently.

Titan battle was more versatile however with Doctor Strange, the gauntlet and Iron Man.

Technically the Titan fight was more powerful, but the Trinity looked more powerful.

Titan fight didn't have as much scale consistently but had far higher power levels at its peak.

DCEU fight was more powerful. Thanos throwing chunks of the Moon's surface was the best thing about the Titan battle and even then it was still underwhelming and had little impact, the only person hit was Ironman and he was perfectly fine afterwards.

Doomsday > Moon pieces

@soro: how is that an anti feat for the meteor. In addition, the titan battle has reality and dimensional warping.

@jefferydeducke: Because it wasn't that powerful and everyone survived, it left some craters that's all. Both were not large scale or destructive.

Trinity fight shits on Titan battle. It's like comparing titans clashing to a couple blokes pushing and shoving in the bathroom.

@soro: but who got hit and survived the meteors? Sure Spider-Man dodged the smaller pebble sized ones cause of their size and his spider sense however the large one that hit iron man should be a feat for his armour. In addition, bvs just had heat vision and physical attacks only, titan had magical weapons, bombs, dropping of large objects , literally destroying an entire moon and dimensional/reality warping

The fight in BvS felt a lot more powerful due to the fact that nearly every hit that landed created some sort of environmental disturbance. Also the fact that Doomsday literally felt like an unstoppable force, whereas on Titan, they pretty much outsmarted Thanos and (if it weren't for Peter's poor self control) would have won against Thanos. Sure they had the moon buster showing... that everyone conveniently survived, but to me I never felt like anyone was at risk until the 1 on 1 with Thanos and Iron Man.

Just my 2 cents.

@emperorb777: Superman wouldn't have if not for the spear. Losing on Titan cost half of the Universe. Seem's the stakes were pretty high in my opinion.

Doomsday, of course.

The moon was so small, wasn't even city level. All the street levelers survived that shit. Cool range, but that's it.

Yeah, because we can totally calculate how far it was from Titan. It even looked so far away as well, jeez. Let's just nevermind the fact that the moon didn't cause much damage when it fell to the battlefield, probably no one would notice!

The one fight where they warped reality and threw moons and spacehulks at one another. Power doesn't necessarly means destruction porn. There was a lot of useless area-of-effect attacks in BvS' final fight which sole purpose was to cause collateral, like Supes flying DD into a raffinery (gee, what a dick).

Furthermore, the Titan fight was a lot more strategic, and had a much wider array of powers. It was also a longer fight, with way more action and emotional investment.

Yeah, the gauntlet operates on a much higher level than any DCEU higher tier, so the Titan fight had higher power levels. But the fight between Superman and Doomsday both of whom weren't amped by any sort of stones or artifacts was much more epic than any of the MCU high tier fights combined, it looked like a battle of gods. IMHO.

..man, if the MCU hired Zack Snyder for the visual effects, that Titan battle (or any MCU high tier fight scenes for that matter) would've been a thing of beauty.

@soro: dr. Strange turns a black hole into a flock of butterflies. Nothing Superman or Doomsday did was close to that kind of power, albeit abstract

@havenless: That wasn't a Black hole, it was a portal.

Anyways, on a technicality the Titan fight was more powerful, overall I'd say the Doomsday fight.

To be fair they were going to "beat" Thanos just by taking away the gauntlet. It's not like they got anywhere close to knocking him out or something.

Hmm, I think that it's more than semantics. Watch this:

Notice how it's rotating inward on itself and it's pulling in the surrounding environment. No portal in the MCU made by the space stone or otherwise has acted anything like this.

Common depiction of black hole in medium, warping the universe around it:

Space Stone Portal:

Never had vacuum or area altering effects beyond its edges. Go look again at Thanos's grimace when he builds it up. Just for a generic portal? That's a black hole.

The doomsday fight looked more powerful, due to explosions and speed effects, but the battle on titan was the more powerful due to moon hailing , mirror dimensions, and black hole throwing.

@chuggachugga170: People are saying the Moon he destroyed is smaller than a city....

Also for people claiming he only leveled the surface of the moon, he shattered it:

He just didn't throw the entire thing, mainly because it would likely kill everyone, not just The Avengers.

Titan battle by far. Thanos and Strange were both warping reality in their battle, and Thanos hit IM with a moon. Both of those things are far far above anyting that has happened in the DCEU so far.

BVS. Imagine throwing a moon and then getting bloodied by Tony and kicked by Spiderman
