"No Heroics" is a British comedy show about a "group of superheroes with less-than-formidable powers" hanging out in a bar.  The Hollywood Reporter has announced that ABC has picked up the pilot episode made for U.S. audiences.  It is written by Jeff Greenstein (from "Will & Grace" fame) and the shows original creator, Drew Pearce.

No word on casting.

In case you're not aware of what the show is like, here's a collection of bits from the original version.

British TV rock. When they try to make it American friendly it become the suck. British humor does not translate very well with the average American. BBC America should just pick it up instead of having "You are What You Eat" on 24 hours a day. Then again no one makes money that way. I guess the only win we get is BBC will run Torchwood and Primeval at the same time as it airs in the UK. We need more pure British comedy here in the states.

Never heard of it... No-one I knows has ever heard of it.  The fact that it's on ITV2 might have something to do with that :p

Wait ABC is gonna pick it up, meaning they will make it with an american cast and it will be absolute Bollocks. Unless we get lucky and it turns out like the way The Office USA version actually was good.  Highly unlikely.

BTW, this show looks great.

I just hope my sister-in-law doesn't know about this show.  She loves BBC shows and tends to go on and on about them until I can barely think about watching.
