Breaking Wonder Woman sequel date announced!!

I'm still waiting for MOS2! I'm sad

Who would have though a few years ago they will be a WW sequel over a MOS sequel lol.

Who is going to be the villain in this? Just have to wait and see.

The DCEU probably ends for me after Justice League and with the way things are going, i'm OK with that. I'm getting tired of the majority of CBM's anyways.

OT: did anyone see the news that Cavill has to have a mustache for the JL reshoots cause the studio doing mission impossible won't let him shave it and WB has to edit out the mustache? I think it's hilarious. Check the DC comics subreddit for the "mustache of steel" edits. I personally can't wait for the ultimate mustache edition of JL.

Wonder Woman is the best thing they got going right now, so I'm cool with this.

Did anyone else just hear warning sirens going off? 2 years and a couple of months is a very short turn around, especially on a movie that is most likely going to be very special effect laden.

I'd rather they take their time and deliver a quality product over something they rush in order to make money now on.

So they plan on shooting Shazam and SS next year, likely Batgirl and Batman and WW is definitely coming out in 2019. So um are they planning 5 movies in one year? WW, Shazam and Batman should be the 2019 releases. Suicide Squad and Batgirl can move over to 2020 and hopefully we get a new Superman film that year as well.

I read a while ago somewhere that Warner Bros. is planning from now on to release between 4 and 5 movies per year.

I just hope if MOS2 happens it's more about Superman rather than his life as Clark Kent and a reporter. Hopefully they can make an action packed movie with Braniac. Or a superman v the elites movie.

Great. Wonder Woman was a fantastic film, I'm glad it's getting a sequel. I mean, yeah I want a Man of Steel 2, but I'm an optimist; instead of focusing on the lack of Man of Steel 2, I focus on the arrival of Wonder Woman 2.

@thelastdragonborn: I would really like a MOS 2. Preferably with Brainac as the villain. I'm just not getting my hopes up or being very optimistic, it seems like WB would rather make more Batman movies instead.

I want Brainiac but I do think the Elite could work in the DCEU, provided of course they explore more and acknowledge Superman killing Zod and how it really influences why he so greatly refuses to just kill his enemies.

The title made me think of a Breaking Bad and Wonder Woman crossover.

Late 2019? Although it might feel too long at first, given all the fancy effects of the first movie that's actually a bit to early. The first movie was good but it wasn't the best movie of the year or anything. MOS 2 is probably going to come out before that Wonder Woman sequel does and I would much rather prefer an earlier MOS 2 Versus a late Wonder Woman 2. Although again, I wouldn't want them rushing MOS 2 either since that movie has lots of potential. The cast of WW2 seems like a very good one. I look forward to it.

@aros001: I think the final movie for Superman should be All-Star Superman. It would be an awesome farewell.

MOS2 can be Braniac or maybe save him for JL3 and make Supes V The Elite.

JL2 should be Darkseid. JL3 and 4 should be Crisis on Infinite Earths

Man, I just want a slate for all movies...

If this is up against Frozen 2 then that's a bad idea. F2 is the type of movie that has long legs due to the age of its core audience. Frozen was a monster hit and if the sequel is nearly as good (not a high bar in my opinion) then it will crush anything else for weeks after including Wicked. Thankfully it doesn't look like there will be a Star Wars in December 2019, too or the month would be a bloodbath and harmful to the possible returns for all major releases.

Superman suffers from the same problems that Spiderman has(his movies just seem redundant at this point) plus he has less overall appeal and less humor. WW is new and represents girl power in a way maybe no other fictional character quite does.

@the_stegman: an official one would really be nice. I'm still under the impression that WB is kind of just throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks at the moment with the only sure things being "The Batman" and WW2

@agent41: Well yes, a movie such as Wonder Woman is obviously going to have production on a sequel started shortly after the first movie becomes a big hit and all, but the thing is I don't want the movie to be rushed or anything. Especially given a movie like Wonder Woman which is all about the filming and choreography and has to live up to and surpass the expectations of the first movie and pull it of well. It might work, but I'm just not completely confident 2019 is enough time for them to pull if of as well as the first movie.

WB has relied on only Batman and Superman for decades, those two's next movies can ****ing wait...
