The whole thing about RF is that he wanted to become the flash but when he found out his future he went crazy, so this isn't really anything game changing.

It seems that it's pretty much guaranteed that Iris is going to find out that Barry is the Flash in this.

He went crazy because he found out his destiny was to become the Flash's greatest enemy. Now his own future has been rewritten to list him as the Flash's greatest friend. I'd say some game has been significantly changed.
