Black Manta (Aquaman 2018)

I liked Orm better. Manta just didnt have enough time or setup, basically a henchman of Orm.

I enjoyed Manta, and wasn’t expecting much from him this film. As a matter of fact, they could have revealed him the same way Deadpool revealed Juggernaut. It would have been overall more satisfying, as he is set up for a larger role in the future

I liked Orm more.

I don't really read comics even though I'm familiar with the guy in this movie he basically played a henchman.

I'm especially disappointed that at the end it wasn't Luthor and Deathstroke who found him floating. But I guess they're gonna scrap Legion of Doom due to JL's failure.

would have been great if they just cruised up next to him and Lex starts poking him with a stick to see if he's alive.

It honestly would’ve been so cool if they did that. And then they could’ve done cheetah in WW84 and continued making LOD member with with every solo movie leading up to JL

@ready_4_madness: I guess not. Though, I'm kinda glad. Like MOS and WW, those seem to be the ones that succeed.

@rem: That's actually what I thought they were gonna do when I saw Cheetah was cast in WW84.

Ihope they do. I was just hpopping they’d at least do something with that in Aquaman. Maybe In the sequel which seems like Black manta will be the main villian.

10/10 - He had good reasoning and he was really badass. I preferred Manta to Orm but like mentioned above it would've been so much better if it was Luthor & Slade who found Manta so they could form the Legion of Doom, plus it would be great as Lex can be the one to take on Superman, Slade to take on Batman and Manta to take on Aquaman.

I think the point was for us to like or more, manta on the other hand was a side character who will return as a major antagonist

6-7, he wasn't too bad and the suit was really well done I thought, but he needs more development.

4. I like the character but he felt very bland and like a henchman more than a villain.

He was a really cool villain that was used as an henchman unfortunately. But I give it an 7.5.

Well with just a few minutes he...

- proved to be a real threat to the protagonist

- Left a lasting impact on the protagonist that helped him grow

- Had an understandable motivation

- Had good fight scenes

- Paralleled the main character in a way

He definitely did more than he needed to considering he wasn't the main villain
