Better Trilogy: The Dark Knight trilogy or The Terminator?

TDK trilogy. Terminator films don't hold up that well today honestly, exceptional though they were for their time.

TDK trilogy stomps

Begins >> T1

TDK > T2

TDKR >>>> T3

Tough.. but T3 was a massive step down, and albeit enjoyable it was disappointing. I have to go with the Batman series. Terminator 2 is a top 10 movie though.

I like Begins more but y'all underrating T1, it does have a great neon and dark atmosphere and great action scenes. Plus, evil Arnie Is badass.

honestly I don't really prefer both of them in my top 10. IMO begins is overrated, and T1 just wasn't they type of movie I could watch without setting the mood.

But Begins is a great movie no doubt and its generally more enjoyable. I can watch it in any mood

@darkthunder: Begins is fairly rated as the 2nd best, it's better than Rises due to having a tighter story and superior pacing.

Quite the opposite for me, i can watch both T1 and Begins a lot of time, while their storylines are simple, they are a lot of fun and executed their stories well and they both have a great villain.

It's all a personal preference though.

Yep, but i'm pretty sure we can agree that both series peaked at the 2nd film, but the gap between their third films was far, far more noticeable with Terminator 3.

I would still say TDKR is great.

If T3 was better, this could at least be somewhat of a discussion, but honestly the Terminator trilogy didn't hold up the greatest, and even T2 would have trouble matching up with TDKR, not to mention TDK.

I'd say first two are classics, and TDKR vs T1 seems a bit more arguable. T3 is the weak link though.

I'd put T2 above any CBM except TDK personally, so i don't see an huge gap and i made the thread.

Arnie is cool but nothing in Terminators compares to Heath Ledger as Joker.

The dark knight easily. T2 is one of the best action movies of all time tho. The scene where he climbs on the truck and blasts the 1000 with the m16 is one of my favorite movie scenes ever.

T2 > The Dark Knight > Batman Begins > T1 > DKR > T3.

So I'll say overall The Dark Knight trilogy.

Begins & TDK were good, but T1 & T2 were better. Both TDKR & T3 were trash.

I disagree. Classics, but they didn't age the best imo. They feel dated now (which makes sense because T2 is 30 years old, but still). T2 -- the best of the trilogy imo -- is still a great movie, but there are quite a few CBMs I would place above it.

@indomitableregal: Fine, but besides some scenes in the first film i think they aged well. I have that film on my top 5, anyways T3 really brings it down the average here.
