JJ Abrams.. more intense and better movies, (for me)

Cameron was a good but not that good! From him just come Titanic, Terminator and Avatar on my mind

What does Abrams even have on those level?

Not a knock on JJ, whose abilities I respect, but films like T2 or Aliens singlehandedly outweigh his entire filmography. No shame in that, either.

And shoutout to the Abyss, a very underrated Cameron film.

The'' not that good'' was a mistake by my part, I was planning to take this off.

OT: 10 Cloverfield Lane, Star Trek, Star Wars(Good old trilogy), Overlord

Actually, wait there is Alien right? GOD.

Cameron wins. I can't believe that I forgot this movie comes from him!

T2, Aliens and Titanic stomp anything JJ has ever done.

Never watched Cloverfield & Overlord but I don't see Abrams Star Trek & Star Wars on that level. Abrams didn't direct "Good Ol Trilogy" of Star Wars.

Cameron. He just has more iconic, industry changing films to his credit than JJ.

Thing is Cameron hasn’t directed anything decent since 1997, though.

Cameron. Terminator 2 and Alien alone give him the win.

@mrmonster: Terminator 2 is one of my favourite movies, I also love Aliens and Titanic. This isn't up for debate.

Abrams is actually decent but Cameron is just better.

@morpheus_: Ohh, I remember that one. It was nice, I liked it.

I rewatched it recently, it is very well made.

@morpheus_: It's been ages since I last watched it, could very well be 10-15 years but I remember plenty of stuff about it. It's one of the movies I wouldn't mind rewatching.

I accept that especially since Abrams has only directed (5) films according to Wikipedia, all after 2006. He's much more active as a writer and producer both in film and on TV. This pairing is a bit of a mismatch as Cameron has more than twice as many films directed as Abrams.
