Better comic writer: Mark Waid or Ed Brubaker?
U have already made this thread b4 right ? Actually i can't recall with whom u compared with Brubaker b4 ?
OT : Brubaker and it's not even close for me .
@biswaboxz: I did but it was deleted along with Ghostodoofus. It barely had any votes.
I vote Brubaker for versatility and range, he's done the superhero, crime, noir and spy genres all quite well.
I prefer Waid's JlA/Kingdom Come over Brubaker's X-Men/Deadly Genesis. But Brubaker's bibliography in crime comics is better than anything Waid has done with Flash.

I have to ask this. You have an interesting taste in comics but it does not go on par with your avatar. Why? I think any Superman fan would prefer Kingdom Come or Birthright over Brubaker.
@vishop_: Oh Birthright is my favourite origin story, I've read it three times now. I do like Mark Waid, his Flash run is incredible (two more trades and I'm finished) but he's not as consistent, I tried to get into his Brave and the Bold run but couldn't (even with the George Perez art), had to read Tower of Babel twice to enjoy it and liked Kingdom Come more for the Alex Ross art than the writimg. Overall, Waid is quite solid but he's also had his downs.
Brubaker's never disappointed me, his Captain America run is the first run I really loved and he became the first writer who's work I religiously read; after his Cap run I read Criminal, Incognito, The Fade Out and the first volume of Kill or Be Killed. Brubaker is now tied with Geoff Johns as my favourite writers.
@vishop_: Still gotta read Irredeemable, looks interesting
@ghostodoofus2: So is Brubaker. I really liked his Gotham Central, Daredevil and Authority. His Uncanny X-Men run was decent but it has quite a number of up and downs. I mean outside his crime/noir comics, he is not really consistent.
@ghostodoofus2: Waid's JLA Year One is also a pretty good read and underrated. Though I prefer Giffen's run over Waid's.
@vishop_: Ooh, I've read JLA: Year One but I don't remember if I enjoyed it, it's been years, might have to re-read.
Waid is horrible these days.
His Doctor Strange and some of his Avengers comics are actually decent and far better than what Aaron is been doing on Avengers.
