Better Character: Spider-Man or Monkey D. Luffy

Luffy might honestly be tied with Nolan Joker as the most overrated character in fiction.

Peter Parker was a very good character but the writers always wanted to write him as a miserable teenager in love and at work.

He never evolves and when he does the next writer makes him go back to the status quo.

That's one of the reasons why right now I prefer the spiderman's miles morales and hope he doesn't have the same fate as peter

It’s close, Peter is my favorite Marvel character but Luffy is probably my favorite fictional character of all time. Not to mention it’s unfortunate that Peter has barely grown at all.
