Better Actor: Johnny Depp vs Joaquin Phoenix

Johnny Depp is not even that great of an actor.

the guys above has prolly not watched edward scissorhands. johhny is great and I've seen more of him than phoenix. I've gotta watch more from joaquin

Depp is good, but this isn't close. Phoenix stomps.

Both very good actors, but I think Depp is almost in a league of his own in his ability to communicate to the audience what his character is feeling without even saying a word. Depp is possibly also the best actor at playing offbeat characters.

Depp is past his prime and his prime can't handle Phoenix.

The one who had to pretend nothing was going wrong between him and his psycho ex-wife for years.

A lot of people only think Johnny has range because he looks different in every role. He's good but not excellent.

I really like Johnny, but Joaquin is better than him I think. Johnny’s bread n’ butter is being able to transform into a character, but even in that category I think Joaquin is above him now.

Depp is very overrated.

Both are very good and I'll say Johnny Depp is the better actor. Joaquin Phoenix was clearly a very good actor in 'Joker' though.
