Better actor in the CBM franchise starter? Robert Downey Jr or Henry Cavill?

I really liked Cavill's Superman, and I enjoyed MoS more than any of the Iron Man movies, but he never did anything particularly impressive in terms of acting within the movie. Meanwhile, Robert Downey Jr. was the main factor that made his movies successful. If someone less charming and charismatic had played Iron Man, it's quite possible the MCU couldn't be a reality. There's a reason RDJ is considered so elite.

Cavill is a terrible actor lol what. His Superman is a cold, uncaring machine, not the valiant Boy Scout we know and love.

Even Injustice Superman acted more like normal Superman, and Injustice Superman murdered a child onscreen.

What is this Downey stomps.

Cavill didn't get to actually act in his movie meanwhile Downey's performance is considered one of the best CBM performances ever...

Robert Downey Jr.'s performance by far. I don't think he's been as good as that first movie, but it's a reason why it's my favorite MCU movie.

None of these polls are gonna turn out positively for the DCEU. Fact is, while Cavill is a good actor, his Superman was wooden and mechanic (can you be wooden and mechanic? Is that not contradiction? Whatever.) RDJ actually made people love Iron Man. Other than his own film, Cavill's Superman was little more than a background player.

More than 10% voted for Henry Cavill, the question in this poll does not a universal fact as an answer.

Even if we were comparing them outside of their CBM performances, RDJ wins. He's a better actor than Cavill all-around.
