Still the first one, Iron Man. Even if I at this point, like the CA series of movies more overall. But for standalone origin movie? Iron-Man has this by a mile.
How are they not origin stories. Both movies are literally about how each character got their start. If you are referring to Civil War they were only features with absolutely no character development.
I'd agree that BP and Spiderman aren't really origins movies since they debut elsewhere as their costumed persona's and the movies aren't about 'how I became a superhero' or 'how I got superpowers'. Like BP was already hero, his movie was perhaps more about 'how I became king'.
i haven’t seen black panther yet So I can’t say for sure but Homecoming is just where he learns his first big lesson. It’s an incredible movie but an origin movie would be seeing uncle Ben and bla bla bla stuff we already know and saw a billion times.
Did you miss the entire first 30 minutes of the movie?
Did you miss the entirety of Civil War?
In what way was Civll War BPs origin story? He was just a feature.
He was BP in it. What the BP the movie doesn't feature is how or why he got to wear that suit.
Just being in a movie doesn’t make that movie your origin story. Black Panther in all honesty was just a character of circumstance in CW.

And it doesn't become an origins movie just because it's his first solo feature either.
No it is an origin story because it established who the character is, his motivation behind his character, his background, his past, and the overarching struggle of the hero. In CW he was just a prince out for vengeance. Something that had nothing to do with the Black Panther in the comics.

Which it doesn't do because most of that was already done in Civil War. When we go into the BP movie, he is Black Panther, we go through the movie he is Black Panther, and when we leave, he is still Black Panther. His status as a hero was never in doubt by him or anyone else, what was in doubt was whenever or not he was worthy and ready for the mantle of king. Underlined by the fact that they spend more time on establishing Killmonger's past and how he got where he is than they do T'Challa.
It's between Ironman and Cap and Caps orgin movie was kinda meh. I havent seen Black Panther yet, it's a bit early for that.
Yeah Dr. Strange should be on this list, but it doesn't really matter because IM 1 is still the best MCU origin movie.
Ironman honestly. Because it was a "movie" not an ad for 6 other movies which are also ads for other movies.
