Best Marvel Movie Trilogy?
Captain America.
The only trilogy where each film actually gets better.
Exactly.
Iron Man is excellent. Iron Man 2 is amusing, entertaining but only like two tiers above your average Bayformer in terms of plot. Iron Man 3 doesn't even feel like it belongs in the trilogy.
Spider-Man has not aged well but is still good imo. Spider-Man 2 is great. Spider-Man 3 is half awful and half decent.
X-Men has not aged well either, in terms of special effects. But i still love it. X-Men 2 is a really good flick. X-Men 3 is a dumpster fire.
@farkam: Save For iron man 2,seems like the second film is always the best
Spiderman 2

I've always prefered the Spiderman trilogy, purely because it was my childhood.
It's so weird to consider Cap a "trilogy" to me. It needs other Avengers films and Iron Man flicks for it to truly shine.
Put it this way: If you showed someone who has no idea what the MCU is the three Cap movies, I think they may be kind of lost, especially when you show them Civil War
Captain America.
The only trilogy where each film actually gets better.
Don't say that on here, a lot of people hate Civil War

A lot of people like It on here too.
Nothing wrong with Civil War, really good movie. It just didnt feel like a true Captain America film, thats why the winder soldier is the best one @chris-sama@cosmicmuffin

Disagree The Russos did an excellent job at keeping all the big players in, but still making it a captain America film. Yeah iron man was in it even spider man and black panther but at the end of the film i still felt like this was steves arc.
@chris-sama: They did a good job with dealing with all of those characters in one movie but imo it just didnt feel like a Cap movie.
Lets look at each trilogy and each movie.
Captain America The First Avenger: Average and forgettable film, I would only watch it for backstory on The Avengers. The Winter Soldier: Fantastic flick, but its not a sequel to the First Avenger, it just has that name, you NEED the Avengers to watch it. Civil War, come on... seriously gonna call this part of the trilogy... it's true name is Avengers 2.5 staring Chris Evans as Captain America.
X-Men: Great at the time, average now days. X-2 X-men United: Great flick at time, now a days its an over average film but no triple A. Last Stand: Nuff' Said...
Iron Man: Great movie! Third best in the MCU. Iron Man 2: Enjoyable, and if you like the MCU, Iron Man 2 pioneered the tone of it... lets be real. Iron Man 3: Ruined Tony Stark... sigh...
Spider-Man: Great! Spider-Man 2: Arguably best superhero film to date. Spider-Man 3: Average flick, enjoyable but ruins the character.
I'm gonna give it to Spider-Man, since its the only trilogy where I will go back and watch each movie, yes including Spider-Man 3. For Iron Man, I will only watch the first two. For X-Men I will only watch the first 2. For Cap's I will watch 2nd, and I will watch the airport scene in Civil War.

Personaly I consider Winter Soldier to be better than Civil War (and the best MCU movie so far). But yeah, as a trilogy it's the best.
@nerdattack: how the heck do you need the avengers to watch the winter soldier?
@mike_fowler: I haven't watched the movie in a while and honestly I was really nitpicking at that movie. Personally, I didn't think it was very enjoyable, but that's not a real argument, so I didn't want to mention it. But yeah, I felt it was boring, and I know the trend of superhero movies is to make them not feel like a superhero movie... but I like superhero movies, and Winter Soldier doesn't feel like a superhero movie. It feels like a normal action movie.
Yeah Captain America. I feel like it’s the only trilogy that’s consistently good with each film, while the other trilogies each have some real turds. I mean I do personally find The First Avenger kind of boring/meh, and Civil War might as well be “Avengers: Civil War”, but both movies are still good-to-great
