Best Batman story arc (Recommend)

I would like to hear your opinion on the subject.

Which is the very best Batman story to read ?? If you could only recommend one story to someone who has never read a Batman comic book or a long time fan, which is the Batman story ??

Damn this is hard. I simply can't give you just one. I suggest checking these out:

• Death of the Family
• Killing Joke
• Zero Year: Secret City and Dark City
• The Dark Knight Returns

For any new reader, far from my favorit story for reasons I won't debate here. But I'd say Batman:Hush. It's easy to read, well drawn. You get a peek at all of Batman's foes and allies, and is packed with lots of action.

For long time fans. They probably have read all major stories. So I would sugest Batman: Dark knight, Dark city.

Hush was the first comic I ever read. It's excellent and highly reccommended.

To start gotta say read Hush. It gives new readers a good insight into Batman's world.

Year One would be my first recommendation.
