Batman's Successor

Over the years a few different people have taken up the Batman mantle. Perhaps the most memorable being Azrael and Dick Grayson.

Was there any particular incarnation after (maybe before) Bruce Wayne that you especially liked?

Alternatively, who would you like to see don the cape and cowel?

Certainly not that shit stain Jason. Dick or Tim would be worthy successors.

I would say Dick because i love his character, but i think he works better as Nightwing. If Jason stopped killing then he would be the ideal candidate

Damian Wayne is the only one worth to dress the Batman cape.

DCAU Terry gets my vote, especially after he surpassed the big guy.

Dick then Damian then maybe Terry. Its what DC itself sells, Tim and Jason have no chance. They're too close to Dick and Damian, effectively getting sandwiched. No room for them to spread their wings which is why they're usually either ignored or sidestepped.

Tim Drake and Terry McGinnis are the two most noteworthy that come to mind.

Damien and Jason shouldn't be mentioned... like at all.

So it would seem Terry is the only one outside the Batfamily that people like as the Batman's successor.

I know it was met with heavy resistance back in the day, but I thought it was thoroughly interesting when Azrael took over for a bit. Sure his costume was dumb, but I've always thought Azrael was a fascinating character and liked the idea of someone so outside of Batman's world step into his shoes

Dick keeps the seat warm for Damian.

Connor just seems like an almost perfect fit.
