Both manga and anime are fantastic! Absolutely worth watching! You could check out episode 1-2 and decide for yourself. If you like it, you can continue watching the anime and/or read the manga.

@indominus: Attack on Titan happens to be one of the best gateway anime for newcomers. It's worth a watch 100%. It was my fourth anime overall.
