Should be noted though that the destruction of both moons were unintentional i.e. wasn't the goal of Toneri or Ata but Ata did it so much more casually and caused WAAAAAAY more damage.

Actually a simple clone of Ata did it. He cut in half the moon with a casual swing of his common metal blade.

Clone Ata is above Toneri. While real Ata on-panel busted a planet.

And no. Toneri did not cut a hollow moon, enough with this idiocy. Only a small portion of that moon was hollowed because Homura's clan created their kingdom.
