Poll As a civilian Would you rather live in the DCEU or MCU (107 votes)

DCEU 31%
MCU 69%

Obviously on earth but the the DCEU or MCU

Which earth do you think is safer, or which earth would you live knowing the hero/heroes would protect you?

Considering Zod alone caused probably more damage than the entire Chitauri army did

In a world with assholes like Captain America and Ironman, and another one which shit happens in it 24/7 with heroes who don't give a spit to human life (i.e. Superman & Wonder Woman), I rather live in none.

Thanos is supposed to be the biggest villain in MCU so him snapping half of the universe is the worst possible scenario in the MCU. In DCEU the likes of Doomsday, Zod and other Superman foes destroying multiple buildings seem to be more common.

I am pretty sure at least one of the Avengers or their villains have wrecked an area on every major continent sans Antarctica.

MCU

Marvel heroes seem to care about civilians safety unlike Superman who was content with Metropolis destruction n' not leading Zod to a less populated area. The Avengers are a more competent team too considering how useless the League was until their Mary Sue showed up to save the day against Steppenwolf

Well to answer the question, the one where half the universe wasn't snapped out of existence.

The MCU. Could never do anything if Superman went bloodlusted, whereas a handgun is enough to solo all the non-bullet timing Avengers, like Thor.

Well to answer the question, the one where half the universe wasn't snapped out of existence.

Between Avengers, Age of Ultron, Captain America: Winter Soldier, Civil War, Infinity War, and Endgame I feel like those movies alone are spread out enough to show that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has a fair amount of casualties and destruction all around the world.

I feel like the tone of the DCEU makes it feel a little more exaggerated and dramatic but I just couldn't imagine wanting to live in the universe where half of it was snapped out of existence, running the risk of never returning.

A Kryptonian like Zod was able to destroy multiple buildings, imagine what DCEU would be if the like of Darkseid appears with his army.

I'm gonna say DCEU, cuz MCU had The Snappening

I'm seriously unable to see how the DCEU has anything that compares to half the population being erased for five years, plus the untold amount of death, damage, and cultural stagnation that caused. Not to mention the fallout of Endgame, with 3.7 billion people just being blipped back into existence after all of that

That's only assuming you have to deal with Thanos. On average DCEU is a lot more destructive and more dangerous without even caring about the casualties.

I mean, if we're living in the MCU wouldn't that mean that Thanos will have come?

Actually, if we're living in the MCU right now, we'd be smack in the middle of The Snappening period between Infinity War and Endgame. So I'm definitely not gonna live there

MCU without a doubt, which is funny because if the comic versions it would be DCU.

MCU is more fleshed out and there would be more to explore in regards to magic and technology. Like, I get the feel with just a backpack and a thumb for hitchhiking you would see wondrous things in the MCU, but I don't get that feeling for the DCU.

Even completely disregarding the Snap, I'd feel safer with Superman than the Avengers.

Most of the MCU characters are actually well-written, so I think I'll keep my brain cells sharing a universe with them.

MCU, other than the snap which I have a 50-50 chance of surviving, i can always come back after five years. DCEU pretty much every villain i destrcutive. you have villains that are hell-bent on changing the whole planet (SW; twice, Enchantress and Zod), those that want to flood/mess up the whole planet (Orm, Sivana ), destructive villains that wipe out entire city blocks and buildings with the potential of getting even more destructive if not stopped(kryptonians), then you have another one on the way who wants to conquer it (Darkseid).

Dceu is far safer despite having multiple destructive villains.

Unlike mcu government dceu actually stand against the threat in most scenario like using military against kryptonian, nuke doomsday, building a Contingency to contain unknown threat( suicide squad), etc.

They have superman who solo most threat by himself and they have higher chances of getting help from arrowverse and other DC characters if it's possible.

MCU 100% has less collateral damage, less civilian deaths, and on average I feel like they have less planet or universe level threats and events occurring. Not to mention they also have more "new" villains where as DC has move reoccurring villians, which suggests that the Marvel heroes are also just more efficient/better at doing their job.

@flake155: You're kind of right about the MCU Avengers being good at their jobs . Believe it or not , the battle of Newyork only had 74 deaths even though the Chitauries were flying around the city turning dozens of streets into waste land , Leviathans were crashing through buildings and there were thousands of ground troops wandering around or climbing on to buildings to kill people . And in the battle of Sokovia ...... an island emerged from a city ......

Also unlike the DCEU , the MCU has only ever had 2 cases where their villains actually poses a global threat such as Ultron nearly succeeding in dropping a massive landmass down to Earth and Thanos snapping away half of humanity . Other than that I think most MCU villains is far less of a threat to earth than DCEU villains.
