Aquaman Rebirth & Aquaman New 52

I was strolling issues of Aquaman on this site. I came across Aquaman New 52 issue #52

and Aquaman Rebirth issue #21. I notice the character on both covers look similiar. My question, Is Rebirth a continuation of the New 52, Did the events in New 52 happen? Or is rebirth a reboot. Just curious

Rebirth is a continuation of the New 52. The events in New 52 Aquaman did still happen.

It's a direct continuation, like most if not all Rebirth. Rebirth just added things from before Flashpoint to New 52.

I don't think Rebirth retcon even affected Aquaman's area of the DCU.
