Anyone know the source for this:

Gillard also reports that the duel will explain how Obi-Wan is able to defeat his protege, even though Anakin has been established as the most powerful Jedi who ever lived. "Obi-Wan taught Anakin and Anakin has gone past him," he notes. "But when you get to that duel, it's emotional. That's where the mistake will be made. And if you know the characters, you know Obi-Wan isn't going to get emotional and he doesn't make mistakes."

@sonofdarkness: I don’t, but I like that it pushes back against a commonality I see in debates—most powerful = winner, never taking importan factors into consideration.

Experience, skill, location, starting distance, and mentality are important factors when deciding a winner. If Anakin and Obi WAN’s ROTS fight happened on the Invisible Hand, Obi may not win. There is no high ground.

Just like if the Obi/Anakin vs Dooku fight happened on Mistafar, it may have ended very differently, too.

The Yoda/Palpatine ROTS fight’s outcome had a ton to do with location.

Obi/ Mail TPM fight did, too.

@darthor: yeah but NG didn’t say the part about Anakin being the most powerful Jedi ever. ReaperAce got the source though it’s from Dreamwatch magazine 👍

@darthor: I know I’ve seen it everywhere but hardly anyone has cited it properly. I’ve seen it cited from the Making of Revenge of the Sith several times but I have the book and couldn’t find it so just wanted to make sure it was legit
