Anyone here ever made a comic?

I'm early in the process of working on a manga. That spurred my curiosity to see if anyone here has ever written/published a comic/manga before. If so, how'd the process go? What was it about? What was the biggest issue you faced? What was easier than expected?

There was a user named Manchine IIRC. He made his own indy titles.

There used to be a viner named Joygirl, who was making Joygirl comics. I’m not sure if she ever finished them, but the character always sounded cool whenever she talked about her.

Any idea what they were called?

I had worked for a company called 12Comics based in New Jersey quite a few years ago, which dedicated itself to children of the community by having them create their own character and choosing a writer and artist from a list to generate their own comic. I was chosen and wrote two issues of a Batman-esque character. Unfortunately, when the issues were published, the company refused to put my name on the covers, and therefore I loss all credit. Currently, I'm in the process of developing my own stories and artwork.

@y2g: I made it yesterday, isn't really a full series or anything just 2 panels on making fun of its name

@yejj: Where at?

@y2g: Sorry, but I honestly don't recall the name of it, as it was more than 20 years ago. My current process is getting each character situated before moving onto the story itself, which is written in novel format before being cut into comic script format. Then artwork is added.

@baldur_odinson: Oh okay, cool. I've been operating similarly. Anything of yours online anywhere?

@y2g: I do little artwork on this account, but otherwise, I don't publish much of what I do online.
