Anyone hate how comic books are never all in one comic book series and often don't tell you where to look?

You could be reading an interesting story arc in the comic and it ends on a cliffhanger and when you get to the next issue, the story is completely different, the issue has resolved or a time jump happened and you as a reader are completely lost.

For example, you could be reading a story where Hal Jordan is revealed to be a zombie and secretly killing and eating supervillains in issue 500 and when you get issue 501, your reading a story about a zombie apocalypse world with Green arrow now confined to a robot body working with cyborg. And in order for you to understand what went on between 500 to 501, you have to read several other comic book issues. Granted at the end of the comic they sometime tells you what issue to pick up so you can continue the story but a lot of times, they don't really do that.

And I think that's why the comicbook industry is dying. A first time reader coming into comics and getting attached to a story is going to be really turned off and confused when they have to read several other comic series just to follow the story.

That's how comics have always worked though, story lines will route through annuals, crossovers, and spin off series so you buy more comics.

And I think that's why the comicbook industry is dying

They used to make a lot of money doing this. The comic industry is dying because the popularity of the super hero films opened up the industry to anyone that has written or drawn a somewhat competent fan fiction on reddit and the quality of everything went down the toilet.
