Which sequel did you like better?
Amazing Spider-Man 2 or Captain America 2
@xwraith: why not? It was good.
Cap 2 was good on all aspects and is up there with The Dark Knight IMO it was a 10/10 film
AMS2 was a really good movie for Spider-man ,but no where as good at that it was 8/10
Amazing spiderman 2. Overall better and much deeper story
I can't say for sure that I liked AMS2 more than CAP2 yet, I mean (spoilers "sort of">>>) ASM2 did pack an emotional punch, which is rare in a cbm...
I seen CAP2 2x, and I'm going to see ASM2 again this week so my opinion could change.
Cap was superior for me. Spidey felt rushed. Harry's transition. Electro's characterization felt off. Cap 2 I can't wait to see again while I have no interest in seeing ASM2 again.
I really enjoyed ASM2, and Spiderman is my all time favorite superhero, but I felt Cap2 was way better.
Cap 2 but only by a little. While I highly enjoyed ASM2, I feel like it could have been better. There were a couple of boring scenes. And the beginning where Peter's parents were on the plane made me quite angry. That all could have been avoided if his dad shot the guy while he was unconscious. I mean, that guy just tried to kill you. You leave him unconscious on a plane? Yeah. But... Gwen's death scene was executed perfectly. Cap 2 had the better story and kept my interest the entire time.
Liked both. Seen both multiple times. WS was a better overall film but I love Spider-Man more than Cap so it narrows the gap.
Winter Soldier.
Spidey by a wide margin.
some of you guys are loco
captain america 2 was pretty much the best comic book movie ever.
even my fat tub girlfriend who doesnt know anything about comics thinks its awesome
Winter Soldier was by far a better movie, and (IMO) the best comic book movie to release besides The Dark Knight. And I HATE(ed?) Captain America. The First Avenger is literally the most groan-inducing comic book movie I have ever seen. It wasn't worth the .99c I paid for it at RedBox and I will never get that 125 minutes of my life back ever again. I didn't care for him in The Avengers either. Winter Soldier wasn't perfect, but it was a great movie in it's own right.
ASM2's only noteworthy aspects were how well Andrew Garfield & Emma Stone played there respective rolls, both as individuals and there romance together on screen. Also the portrayal of the Spider sense was well done. Outside of that the plot felt both mechanical yet rushed, the villains were uninteresting as characters & felt "off", and the movie seemed like it wanted to set things up for future sequels instead of tell it's own story. Spoiler Alert:The death of Gwen Stacy, which was obviously coming, is a wasted opportunity for the series. Emma Stone was literally half the reason my girlfriend and I wanted to see the movie. Not having her in the next two movies really dampens my excitement for the next installment. End Spoiler.
I Enjoyed ASM2 for what it was, but it isn't a movie I'd go out of my way to see again. Winter Soldier is the first time I've seen a movie three times in the theater, and I'm considering seeing it again.
