During the scene where the Green Goblin attacks Jameson and demands into on the person who takes pictures of Spider-Man, instead of ratting out Peter, he tells Goblin that the pictures come in anonymously.

That's some pretty cool character development right there. JJ was clearly trying to protect Peter, which is something nobody would have expected considering right before this scene he was trashing Spider-Man!

It would have been cool if there was a scene with Peter acknowledging this, and JJ would play it off like he was only doing it to make money off Pete's photos or something.

Kind of missed out that scene when watching the movie.

Anyway, its actually more or less faithful to how JJ was portrayed in the spiderman comics. A jerk to Spiderman but not so much to certain other people.

You're the one who's out Gobby. Outta your mind.

They're going to have a hard time topping Simmons' Jameson.

Something similar happened in spectacular spider-man.

That said, it just shows that he hates spider-man but not Peter(because he doesn't know he is spider-man).

You also have to think that Spiderman pictures are his cash cow and he wouldn't want to lose his only source of them.
