Fans of the movie Frozen can begin cheering. In a press release today, Frozen 2 was announced. During the Walt Disney Company's shareholders meeting, John Lasseter announced that Frozen would be getting a sequel.
“We enjoyed making Frozen Fever so much and being back in that world with those characters,” said John Lasseter. “Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we’re taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that.”
The first film generated over $1 billion at the box office, so the decision to go for a sequel is a no-brainer. In addition, premiering before Cinderella, starting March 13th, is the animated short Frozen Fever. Here's the trailer for the upcoming short.
No release date set yet on Frozen 2, but you can check out Frozen Fever if you see Cinderella, opening March 13th.
