Take any mainstream Marvel character and give them your own personal makeover. Strip'em down tot he bare essentials juice'em up to cosmic levels. Go crazy.

The best remake wins a Viney award and bragging rights over their defeated competitors.

Obscure characters will probably have a greater impact unless the remake you choose to give a major player is so mindblowingly original that it steals the show...unlikely,but we'll see.

Scott Summers

An evil scientist by the name of Mr. Sinister was shown by the mad tyrant Apocalypse a future in which a boy by the name of Scott Summers would grow up and become the leader of a powerful group of mutants called the X-Men. Sinister would eventually murder the Summers family except for young Scott who he took back to his labs and experimented on.

Scott was a mutant with thee ability to fire powerful beams of energy from his eyes. But once Sinister started to operate on the young boy he was able to splice the source of Scott's power creating an alternet route allowing him to also fire blasts from the inside of his hands. At the age of ten Sinister took Scott and sent him into the Savage Land to fend for himself. Three weeks later Sinister came back to find the Savage Land in ruins and Scott nowhere to be found.

Apocalypse had witnessed the power young Scott possessed and took him and trained him to lead a group of worthy mutants he had deemed superior. Apocalypse equipt Scott with custom gloves which allowed him to unleash his full potential without destroying his hands and a visor for his eyes.

With the teaching of Apocalypse and the genetic tampering of Sinister Scott would become one of thee most dangerous mutants in the world. Now called Ignition Scott wages war on humanity and mutants alike.

Okay we will hold a DC and Image contest next. But right now It needs to be Marvel just so the coorporate rules of the universe are on display in the myriad entries.

LMAO everyone thinks that. No, in the future, my character and a character name Moonchild have kids. One's a punky boy named Lunick and the other's a girly girl named Solana. Lunick controls ice, and Solana controls fire. They're your basic yin and yang.

Hey Sling Shot has an ancestor in this recent RPG. He Brazillian and his great great grandmoms was a thick brazillian queen. Anyways, His name is Burning Tiger and he can manifest a disentegration aura.

Ok, I didn't get a chance to draw him, but...

Henry McCoy was a smart child, even in his younger years. He always excelled in class and wanted to grow up to be a scientist. The other kids made fun of him because of his mutant ability of large hands and feet, giving him superhuman physical abilities.He liked animals too. He was crossing the street one day when a car came tearing around a corner, and striahgt at him. He began to run to the other side but tripped, falling to the ground. A nearby police dog saw him fall and ran over to help him. He was able to drag Henry out of the way, but was killed in the process. He vowed from that day on to help animals in any way possible. He grew older and was discovered by Professor Xavier, who asked him to attend his school for mutants. He achieved his degree in Geneticism while there.

He used his expertise in the field of genetics to engineer a machine that could replace lost animal DNA, such as replacing the genes needed to heal a broken leg or regrow a limb. The machine was imbued the DNA of every animal species on earth, and would scan an animal before choosing which DNA to inject into it's body. It would be a revolution in Veterinary Science, and Hnery would've hoped it would go far. During Testing, the machine wouldn't work. Henry stepped inside the machine to examine what the problem was. He accidentally activated it. The machine scanned him, and couldn't come up with the proper DNA signature. In a malfunction, every bit of DNA was released into Henry's body. It turned him into an animalistic creature, with blue fur and wolf-like claws, fangs, and a tail. This heightened his senses, and jumpstarted his physical attributes even more. And, due to the excess amount of DNA within him, he can chose between the DNA at will, merging it with his own. This gives him unlimited anthropomorphic states, in which he does not fully transform into the animal, but still maintains a humanoid quality. No matter what DNA he chooss, however, he will always be a blue color, an anamoly of the DNA merging process. He now uses his abilities to fight with the X-Men and defend animalkind everywhere.

Ok,not as good as Gambler's, but I liked it.

And I forgot to add that he can communicate with animals by merging the animal DNA with his voicebox and ears, thus speaking and understanding animals.

When the judges PM me I will know the Winna, but I gotta say Cryo and Gambler didn't make it easy.

If people don't understand the anthropomorphic states thing...think Silverclaw meets Beast =D That's pretty much exactly what it is. But with Communication to Animals an other stuffs.

That, my friend, is my version of Beast....think Beast meets Silverclaw and add communication with animals.

And, it's the sound of my victory, being carried on the winds through the vine.....VENGEANCE IS MINE!
