Aheh.... well.... with Horror Classics it's a bit more.... PICKY about what Characters are chosen... as well as it's an actual Group set in the same Universe, while in Horror INC each story was pretty much set in its own universe.

...Well OUR Group has the Invisible Man! So... YEAH! Who doesn't like the Invisible Man?! Arguably one of the most useless Monsters out there... because he's not really a Monster he's an Invisible Human. Although he is naked whenever you can't see him so maybe that's his nickn-

However in MY series Griffin is going to start encountering different monsters (Mummies, Vampires, Werewolves) and he's going to prove to them that he is in fact.... more dangerous then the lot of them. For a very specific reason which I'm not going to spoil because it's one of those badass scenes that you think about for 5 hours because it's so cool.

Also what does a Mummy do? Do they have supernatural powers or are they just Zombies covered in TP?

I hadn't actually read the classic horror stories (except for Frankenstein) until several years ago, and then I went on a binge-read of Dracula, Dr. Jekyll and Mister Hyde, The Invisible Man, and probably a couple I've forgotten, and they were all...kind of disappointing, actually. They were so tame. I kept reading them, thinking, "Man, maybe this was terrifying to people when they were first published, but wow, <yawn>." lol

Don't get me wrong, I actually really love the stories, but they're not the blood curdling horror epics I was expecting. And The Invisible Man was just kind of funny. It got to be a downright satire towards the end. I mean, he's running invisi-naked from one town to another, and as fast as he can run, the paper is reporting his deeds? It was one run- and how many editions came out while he was out there? It was just funny. But to me, the real potential of that story was the journals left with Marvel. That was begging for the continuation.

A mummy loves you, and kisses your booboos, and makes you lunch on a rainy day...oh, wait, that's not right, is it? Different mummy. Carry on.

@cbishop: I'm not sure about the rest, but Frankenstein is more of a tragedy than a horror, dealing with issues such as judging by appearance, constantly been told you're a monster leads you to believe/become it and other stuff.

@maccyd: I can see that assessment, but again, I think it was probably horrifying for the time. Interesting trivia: Mary Shelley was said to have written the novel while sitting on her husband's tombstone, and believe it or not, she claimed to have seen the Frankenstein monster as an apparition.

@cbishop: I assume these will be reinterpretations of classic characters?

This was fun stuff to read. I never did come up with a good logo idea for Roanoke. I couldn't find anything that fit with the rest very well. I may have to just wing it at some point.
