Barry was all alone in the room.
He waited for it to be his turn to get a checkup from his dentist. He sat in the waiting room, all alone.
He tapped his knees impatiently. He had been asked to turn off his phone and was bored out of his mind. He found it very odd that it took so long for the dentist to be done with the guy that had come before Barry. Barry sighed as he went through the reading material on the table until he found a book. He picked it up, opened it on page two, and then his head exploded.
Diana was all alone in the room.
It was the back room of the bookstore she liked to shop in. The owner had allowed her to get inside the backroom that was used as storage space for all the books that there wasn't room for on the shelves inside the store. Diana wasn't looking for anything specific, just something with a title that stood out.
And she found one. She opened it on page 13, and then she suffered a hearth attack and died.
Bruce and Hal were all alone in the room.
They had to read all night if they were to have any chance to pass the exam the next day. They sat with each their laptop and read their e-books. Their eyes felt as if they were about to pop out. And their bladder had been busy this night after all the coke and coffee they had filled themselves with.
Then, after six hours of hard work, Bruce and Hal decided to call it a night. Bruce decided to check his emails and found a link to a new book. He opened the link that showed him page 20 of the book. And then Hall slipped on a plastic bottle on his way to the bathroom and broke his neck.
Clark was all alone in the room.
After washing his hands, he left the bathroom and returned to his office. He had to read finish his book review for the newspaper he worked for. He wrote of it was extremely lazy written, that the title was as unoriginal as the author clearly was and that the only reason to why anyone should buy it would be that they were short on toilet paper.
After finishing the review, Clark decided to actually read the book he had reviewed. He usually didn't do such a thing, but he had to admit that he was a bit curious.
So he picked up the book "Pictures Of People Who Are About To Die" and opened it on page six.
