A short one shot. Check it out.

A beautiful woman was standing in front of a walkway with heavily burdened bags full of groceries in her hands, her posture suggested that she was wearily spent and jaded, as her shoulders slouched with a bit of hopelessness and her dark hair loosely fell down to her shoulder blades. As she was waiting for the light to turn green, she began nervously pacing in one spot, as if the bags were cutting away at her arms with their weight and she couldn’t bear it for much longer.

”Hello, how are you doing?” A strangely warm voice made her jump to the side as she turned to see a tall man calmly standing next to her, his slick and shiny black raincoat was making him seem even taller. A hoodie covered over his head and a slight bunch of dark hair fell out onto his forehead from underneath it. His hands were tightly tucked away in his pockets, making her fear that he might be a mugger or a rapist. She simply decided to take a few steps back and not pay much attention to him.

”Fine, thank you.” She answered quietly, even though her common sense begged her not to, she couldn’t help but to be pleasantly charmed as the man smiled back at her, his gently subdued brown eyes let her nervous hazel gaze understand that his intentions were benign. Something in his childish smile made her relax a little bit, he seemed too friendly to be a criminal, yet she couldn’t help but to wonder why she felt a strangely attractive aura of mystery that came off from him.

”Hmm… What is your name?” he asked, this time his benevolent smile seemed cute in her eyes. He calmly observed her, taking in her casual jeans and a t-shirt look, but she didn’t find his gaze intruding at all, in fact, it felt pleasantly warm, just like the sunshine.

.” She couldn’t help but to be taken back by the graciously mystifying tone of the stranger.

”What’s yours?” She asked, while trying to seem nice also, noticing how he shyly looked away when her smile didn’t return the warmness that he selflessly gave off to her.

”Hmm…” He signed heavily again, without answering, his attention was now glued to the dimply forlorn gray sky, which was unconventionally bright only a few minutes ago.

”Weather is like the mood of a man, unpredictable and easily influential.” He was still smiling a soft smile as he looked back down onto the road; his tone became a bit quieter, making her realize that she couldn’t help but to listen closer to his cryptic words of wisdom.

”I believe it is green.” He whispered softly to her ear as she was looking up into the bleakly gray sky too, wondering what was so fascinating to the tall stranger that he had seemingly completely forgot to tell her his name.

They walked across the road together. He effortlessly helped her with the most burdensome bags that were too heavy to be carried alone. She didn’t try to stop him, feeling absolutely no hostility from the kind stranger. He somehow reminded her of a cute puppy that was lost in this world and became alone, venturing all on his own, but yet remained quite nice and friendly with a mystery around him he didn’t want to share.

”Here,” He put her bags down once they lightly walked across the road. After slowly reaching into his long coat he pulled out a huge umbrella that was as black and shiny as his raincoat.

”It’s raining.” He opened the umbrella and handed it to her, mesmerizing her with his thoughtful charm and ease of movements. The rain was not noticed by
until he mentioned it, as if he was able to call it down upon the world.

He obediently followed her to her car, faithfully and sedately carrying the heavy bags without showing any strain but continuing to gently smile. He walked silently, his footsteps not making a single ripple of sound in the numerous puddles of water that now seemed to have surrounded the entire city, while looking somewhere far off into the cloudily achromatic horizon.

”Well, thanks… For everything.” She clumsily nodded, feeling kind of awkward as she handed him a ten dollar bill and the umbrella after he put all the groceries into her car, shyly smiling at the kind stranger.

”Keep it
, it will rain tomorrow too.” He didn’t even make any gestures towards the money, simply taking two steps back and beginning to turn away, as the raindrops would peacefully and slowly slide down his raincoat, turning into pools of water on the ground, only to be replaced by new ones that had the same exact fate.

”Weatherman.” She heard an echoing whisper of the stranger that had deeply warmed her heart in such a short amount of time. She felt a sudden urge that she was not able to understand fully, like she wanted to befriend him, laugh with him and cry on his serene shoulders and be in his sympathetically kind arms, while being safely shielded under his umbrella during the days it would rain so hard on her life.

”My name is Weatherman.”
