So Scary 5- Metropol

Somewhere in Germany, a local cinema theater had just been renovated for screening purposes. In fact, nobody expected what would happen before the demonic infestation had started due to its course. Locals have believed that the theater was cursed and that nobody should go inside there and see what the thrills and shrills of watching a horror movie or anything else that could fascinate die-hard moviegoers. But for a half-Italian, half-Japanese janitor named Genzo Vellenci, he didn't know what else to think other than cleaning up the theater itself, which was now called Metropol.

The local theater looked like an abandoned place, and that the janitor himself sighed at the thought of entering it. He didn't have any other choice but to clean up whatever goes inside there. At first, he didn't believe in superstitions, which came from crazy, homeless people who had kept raising their signs that said, The demons are coming! Beware! in German language. Of course, Genzo was already fluent in German after he came all the way from Japan in order to look for a job. His father was Italian and his mother was Japanese. It was a tough life for the man himself. But he had worked enough these days to earn his keep. After all, he lived in Germany for so many years now that he couldn't even remember. He wasn't that old by the looks of it.

After entering inside the theater, Genzo stopped and hesitated. He wondered if he could come to this horrible place. That was because there was no else yet. Not even the customers who were dying to see their favorite flicks. Metropol was also designed for test screenings to see if the movies were really that good, and they would tell others to come and watch the full movie. That was the sole purpose of it. Genzo sighed and started cleaning.

Everything was still quiet. The lobby had a motorcycle, which was placed on a platform and it had a devilish mask, hanging on it's handle. Genzo knew what it was, but he figured that props including the mask itself was made out of the upcoming horror movie. He couldn't recall what the movie was called. He thought, I think it's called... Demons. Yes, that's it. He shook his head, thinking why would anyone want to watch that horrible movie, even though it hadn't been released yet. He even saw the poster on the walls. He was right about it. The title said it all, and the image showed some creatures with glowing green eyes, emerging from somewhere. He looked away from it, and stared back at the devil mask. He wanted to touch it, but he thought to himself, No, I better not. Something was holding him back. Something told him that if he touched the mask or even wore it, he would become something vicious like a demon on that poster. He didn't know how he knew this information since he wasn't that superstitious like those homeless men out there. But he only believed it to be true. Because he had nightmares about it. It happened last night in his bedroom before he got a call from his boss that he had to clean the renovated theater. In his nightmare, he had seen these people, turning into demonic creatures, and they have been let loose around the world. Just because of some black hooker who wore the mask in the first place. That was the beginning of a nightmare and the cause of it. He wanted to think that it was all a crazy dream. But then once he gets out of the theater for good, it wouldn't be a dream at all.

So, Genzo cleaned up the theater as he could. He stopped for a while, and drank some water. He thought he heard some noises. But he didn't know who it was. He only knew that there was no one else, staying in the theater, except maybe for the manager or some movie maker who came to see the latest props of his own movie. The janitor spoke in German, "Hello? Is anyone there?" There was no reply. He became less agitated of the fact that he wanted to get this job done, and then get out of here. He said it again, "Hello!" Then out of nowhere, a masked man appeared before him. Half of his face was covered with a strange silver mask, as if he looked disfigured or something. Genzo didn't know what to make of it. But then he realized that this mysterious man was also from his dream. He screamed and tried to get out of the theater as quickly as possible. But the masked man stopped him. Genzo could feel the stabbing pain behind his back. Eventually, he planned to stop anyone else coming to this theater, or watch the upcoming horror movie. But then he was too late. He closed his eyes, hoping that this was just a bad dream.

But it wasn't.

Next story- Cheap Imitation.
