In case anyone decides they really like this latest venture, here's a reference library. This is an X-Files inspired saga based entirely in West Texas. E Company Rangers police the nearest thing to a frontier that can be found in the United States from Midland to El Paso, and the Texas Rangers are among the elite of American Law Enforcement with a colorful history dating back to the early 19th century making them the oldest Law Enforcement agency in the United States.
It seems appropriate to note that this saga will occasionally touch on very dark and graphic themes, not unlike those broached upon in the X-Files saga. Much of my inspirational material comes from the books Intruders by Budd Hopkins, A History of UFO Crashes by Kevin Randle, and Behold a Pale Horse by Bill Cooper. The first I don't recommend reading after dark, it is the culmination of a first hand investigation into the phenomenon of alien abduction and includes extensive transcripts of interviews and hypnosis sessions. I freely admit that it gave me nightmares. The second is an outstandingly documented and researched book that approaches the subject of Ufology with a skeptic's eye. Kevin goes down the list of over a dozen alleged UFO crashes chiefly in the United States, and presents the evidence for each to demonstrate the nature of UFOlogical investigation while proving or disproving the alleged incidents when possible. The third is arguably one of the most comprehensive tomes on American conspiracy theory ever written, complete with supporting documentation and source material for various assertions. Want to make an argument that Stan Friedman is a charlatan? Look no further, Bill compiled the evidence for you.
