ABOUT primepower53
Username: Primepower53 (nicknames: "tiny", Tiny Prime, prime, pp53, prime time)
Gender: Male
Age: Young enough
Languages: English and basic Spanish (almost one school year worth)
Favorite Fictional Character: Flash, Green Lantern, Superman
Taste In Comics: I love the powerful type. The ones that can get smacked around without missing a beat. That's always fun to see.
THE QUESTIONS
1) So you're into Flash now? Which Flash is your favourite?
pp53: Honestly? I've been into him for a while now, and I just have this rotating cast of favorites. It started two years ago, I started to like Superman, then GL, then Flash, then Batman and back. From there I've taken Batman out and Superman is somewhat sidelined (for now) My main interests have been in Flash and GL for a few months (about five to be exact)
And to answer your question, Barry is my favorite, but I like him only a bit more than the others.
2) No love for Wally?
pp53: WALLY HAS BEEN ERASED FROM HISTORY! THAT WAS ALL BARRY!
That's my argument for everything. All the Flashes were just Barry in denial about who they are.
3) Huh....*looks to Wally West fans* So, have you ever written a Flash fic?
pp53: Actually, Flash was the first person I ever wrote a fic about. It was quite terrible, IIRC and I think I deleted it. It was about Jai somehow gaining random powers to manipulate matter and Irey West had to stop him. She apparently died and Barry and Wally teamed up to stop him. Part Two had Irey coming back older, and had been transported into the future, where she got pregnant and had a child named Ben, who aged rapidly once born, and had to have his mind put in the speed force, then they figured out how to reverse the aging, and Ben came out of the speed force with memories of everyone connected to it. He then became the next Flash.
Like I said, terrible.
4) So which fic do you think is the best you've written?
pp53: I'd have to say (in regards to a complete fic) The Hulk: The Order and DC Genesis: Green Arrow parts 1-5. I tried a new style of writing that's paying off. I've been working on setting the scene, and showing what's going on around the characters before actually getting to the main event. In terms of action, I've been working on showing the effect instead of the action itself. He punched him vs his punch sent out a shockwave, leveling the ground and snapping trees like toothpicks.
5) What encouraged you to Fan-Fic?
pp53: I was actually encouraged to fan fic because I made a thread talking about how I was 13 and still played with toys/pretended to be a super hero, but I didn't just do fight scenes, I made entire stories. Someone pointed me towards fan fiction and I've been writing ever since.
6) Favourite writers on the Vine?
pp53: I'd have to say my favorite writers are
and7) What do you think is the best part about the Fan-Fic board?
pp53: I have to say...the best thing is the independent fic'rs. GIVING A SHOUT OUT TO ALL Y'ALLS! :P Independent fan fics are a great way to write freely without continuity to hold you back, so that's always great to see. However group fics provide editing for free, It's also fun to have conversations and get to know writers. (See notes on you, me
and the like)8) What do you like about writing Fan-Fic's?
pp53: I love the freedom of writing my fics. I can take a horrible character (Sentry, maybe?) or someone who's currently being written badly (like Moon Knight was) and write something awesome. The fact that I can say proudly that my stories are better than some writers (*cough*BENDIS*cough*) is a great thing for me.
9) Why should someone visit the Fan-Fic board?
pp53: People should visit the fan fic boards, even if they don't write, just to see what some good writing is, or bad writing. It's like reading a book. Tired of waiting for next month's Spidey to come out, read a fan fic about him! You can come to the FF boards (FAN FIC, NOT FUTURE FOUNDATION/FANTASTIC FOUR!) anytime to read about characters you know and love, plus, writers love the feedback you get from that, which can better their writing in it's own.
10) Any advice for new Fic writers?
pp53: I just want to say to any newbies who are writing for the first time: DO NOT BE DISAPPOINTED IF YOU FEEL YOUR STORIES ARE TERRIBLE! This is a part of writing. You're not instantly as good as me :P:P:P it takes work. I've been writing for four years (not all of it is on The Vine) and I'm still not perfect. The more you write, the better you get, so if it's not perfect the first time, just keep at it. Plus, you get to work with other writers in the forums and they can give you tips if you ask them. Ask them what to improve on and almost ALL of them can give you some constructive criticism...I should know. *points to top posters, at which he resides as 2nd place*
Alright folks!!! Remember to vote for your favourite fic'r!!!!!
