@cbishop: I like that you added the Character Creation Contest stories on everyones page. It's really the only writing I've been doing lately. It's nice having them organized in one page.

@stumpy49er: hey, thanks for noticing! I realized the ccc stories were needed, because not everyone reposts them later like I do. Plus, Imp' will often make her ccc entry connect to whatever epic she is writing at the time, and that will be the only place to read it. Batkevin' does a lot of one time only stories too. And sometimes the ccc is the only place you'll see a writer at all. I figured that should be accounted for. If you break out big with your stumpy49er character, I think the first appearance should be easy to find. :)

I'm calling out a few people who I believe are familiar (or somewhat familiar) with my work. Just curious if any of you have a particular favorite. In my Creative Writing Class I'm taking right now I'm supposed to provide a piece for the class to read and Work Shop (basically dissect and critique).

I'm considering using Even Faeries Die Alone or Star Wars: The Rain Must Fall or maybe Stumpy49er. I'd like to use The Likables because I think that's one of my more entertaining works but I can't because that's another persons characters. I also like both of my Fallout stories.

Chronos Cops would be cool too but I think it's just more of a cool introduction to the world and not enough of a good story. I've hit a writers block on that. Sorry Batkevin. I've neglected my promise to get back to that.

So anyway. Just asking if anyone has a story of mine they think would be good to present to my class.

@stumpy49er: I like "Piston Patti" and "Rumble Bump," but if you need length, maybe your "Valse Montres" or "Crank" stories?

@stumpy49er: Your CRANK stuff is good too, sure its part of a shared world but they're all yours, but I'm guessing you just need a self contained piece yes? Go with your Fairies one, that's my suggestion, but remember its what YOU like and are comfortable having a group of strangers pick at it like hyenas round a carcass (bravely done, if I had a hat I would doff it)

And yeah, get back on that Chronos Cops stuff, my guys are hanging in Limbo because they're chasing yours! :)

Thanks for the feedback. I have a few weeks before I need to provide the story. I do like Piston Patti too, that's a good suggestion. I also like Valse Montres but that'd be too long for the assignment. I think he said no more than 2000 words.

I am leaning towards the Faeries story, since I think it's particularly good. I think my one criticism of it might be that there's not enough humor/ it's too serious.

Then again, it might suit me to have feedback on something that needs more improvement. I might have to read over some of my old writings.

@ficopedia: Are you asking how the college life is treating me, Bish? Well I’m used to starving consistently on a regular basis, as well as feeling a loner in my dorms. But I’m doing rather well on my courses, I’ve made some friends and the cynicism that I’ve found everywhere helped me start writing The ‘40s which I’m still a little proud of so I’m doing alright.

@stumpy49er: I’d recommend using your Faeries story as I feel it’s one of the stronger tales you mentioned.
