Fan fic contests?

I notice that the art contest bring in a lot of people to check out art and such causing some general feedback.

So...why not do it with fan fic? Anyone interested and if so got any ideas?

I've got one, A License contest where writers have to make a story based off an ill or even never before used license(like a toy line or something crazy, but not too crazy)

Could be interesting.

I may participate in something like that.

Anyone got any ideas for contests of their own?

Or what to start with on the one I suggested?

I'd be down with this, it might help me get over my massive writers block right now

It'd be like the art contests. The prize is setting up the parameters of the next contest.

Besides this is more for fun than actually winning. Kind of like the Fan Fic challenges some people have done.

Could we make it a little broader like integrate a non-Marvel or DC character into their universes?

There's only so many WW2 characters.

Well yeah, each contest the last winner would pick the character to be integrated.

@Project_Worm: I do think that a lot of the art contest would transition well. Honestly I can't think of one that wouldn't.

Also it turns out Character Creation Contest has been done on here and I'm seeing the person who started it(Icarusflies) about bringing it back.
