Death comes and takes all, but sometimes it really does come too soon. At times, too soon can means you get more time in life. But when you are permitted back on earth, your soul can't take your body. A Dead boy can't come back to life, he can only float around as a ghost.
He had been taken to the pearly gates, a christian son, but the gates wouldn't open. No sins, but no virtues, the boy was a clean slate. Sent back to earth, he needed to spend more time if he was to get in to heaven some day, but he was warned, for now, his soul is all he has to spend, so spend carefully.
The child looked down at the bloody corpse of his body. He tried to touch it, but his hand just went through it. Tire treads make his body look thinner. The boy looks behind him as a blinding light makes its way to him. The next car shoots through him, not seeing him at all. His body takes another hit, looking more and more like a regular road kill.
Feeling nothing as he sees his own body, he walks on by, slowly his legs get more used to their form. This wasn't what he wanted. He stops as he hears some guys laughing. He turns and spots a couple hookers being carried off by these well dressed mobsters. He runs over and gets in front of them, standing in the neon lights. He looks into the mobster's eyes, but they just walk on by. He yells at them, but no sound came from his mouth. He knew he was speaking, but the air wouldn't carrying his voice.
Fear overtook him as he just runs through the building newt to him, not carrying that he couldn't see where he was going. He sees the outside finally as he passes through the last wall, only to see no ground beneath him. He sees the world fly past him at lightning speed, circling him and circling him. He could see the sky and the ocean as one, All the world just moved faster and faster, until they started moving slower and slower.
He realized then, he wasn't falling, he was spinning, and he was flying.
