CRANK: Gunship #16

(Apologies for the lateness and shortness of this chapter but it was done on my phone. Computer needs a fixing)

"Don't come any closer!"

Tigarayan's cat-like eyes narrowed as she studied the panicky man on the ledge wielding the 38. Tightly wrapped under his other arm was a girl, no older than ten, flushed of face and terrified. Tigarayan inched forward and smiled. "Hey sweetie"

"Stop talking!" He levelled the gun at her.

-that's it, keep looking at me you ice junkie- Again she inched forward

"What's your name sweetie?"

"I SAID STOP TALKING!!"

"HEY!" Tigarayan snapped back "I've got exceptional hearing, I heard you the first time." Again she crept incrementally up. "You're scaring her and freaking out the cops who if you wave the gun around again, will probably get the green light to shoot you. I'm trying to keep everyone here alive."

The man placed the gun to the girls head "I go, she goes."

Tigarayan nodded "What's your name?"

"STOPTALKINGTOME!!!"

Tigarayan held her hands up as she inched in again "Okay! Okay! Chill! Now I have a question for you. You listening to me? Hello?"

The man inhaled snot and nodded.

"Do you know who Gunship is?"

"Yeah! Der!"

"Well he's hovering behind you"

The man turned and Tigarayan went into action. In a heartbeat she was up behind them, grabbed the girl by the hand and kicked the gunman in the spine sending him flying off the building. Tigarayan looked at the girl It's okay sweetie"

"What about my dad?"

Tigarayan winked then backflipped off the roof after the falling man. As she fell she contemplated letting the horrible man hit the ground sparing the little girl a future trapped with someone like him; but that wasn't her call. She unclipped a rappelling cord and tossed it after the man, the cord wrapping around his ankle as she clipped the other end to a rescue drone and sent it up. The man shot up past her screaming all the way. Tigarayan contemplated kicking him but had more pressing matters to deal with like her landing.

-You've fallen from higher and survived. But you also had more time. Breathe. Brace. Roll. Breathe-

"Need a hand?"

Tigarayan smiled as she took Gunship's out stretched metal hand. "Thought you were on leave?"

"Shall I go?"

"Hell no! Just drop me down and go get fly boy for me."

Gunship smiled as he dropped her and took off after the space bound drug addict.

btw, what does she look like? I mostly picture an Asian Tigra of the West Coast Avengers.

Bumped as an experiment

@batkevin74: Talk about crazy feet, or maybe just a crazy junkie.Really enjoying this character and I'm glad to be unbanned (although not glad that I've lost everything I ever wrote on here)

@batkevin74: I know this is off topic but I felt I needed to inform you as well as other Iron Age/Splicers writers that a clitch has wiped out all my fics, every last one so as of today large chunks of both those projects as well as all my solo stuff is just gone.

I really hope they fix that. It sounds like it may take a few weeks.

Also, don't let it discourage you from writing more.
