@batkevin74: thanks for the invite - had never looked into these contests before. It's cool stuff.

I was all set to vote @impurestcheese, draugrs and that period are SO much right down my alley and I very much enjoyed that excerpt. But then @wildvine 's entry really struck me - writing about the artifact cause rather than the result was a very interesting strategy.

So it's wildvine for me by a really-tough-call slim margin.

Totally legit. We call out voters all the time. Gets boring if nobody votes. Gotta be honest- I have no frickin' idea what I'm going to choose if I win. It might just be a "here's your picture" contest.
