PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE only submit ACTUAL comic covers when doing submissions for comics. NO PREVIEW IMAGES. If you can't find an image online, SCAN IT yourself. Scanners are cheap nowadays. If you can't find the image or don't have a scanner, don't submit it. I've been busting my butt adding new comics each week and I'll admit I'm a little protective of that corner but I am by no means claiming it. I love it when I see someone else submitting a new issue but it kinda bugs me if it's not done what I consider right.

This is sorta becoming a pet peeve of mine.

I agree, I've been spending quite some time myself changing preview images to real covers.

I don't know how to do imges period, and thus do not know how to do cover images. I'll notify you if I see a preview cover though.

They slip by sometimes. When it's late and there's a ton of submissions to go through. Lots of submissions are great but you know what I'm saying. I do some but it's mainly on Cascader and RedLAMP to sort through all of them. It's the plageurized ones that are a pain. If only people would stop that.

The closest I came to plagiarizing was when I found the B-you know what I'll stop there.

Note: In case you didn't know, I'M KIDDING.

I posted this question elsewhere, but might as well ask it here:

His it ok when you grab a cover scan on the web, but there's a tag of the website you grabbed it on, like the dark horse logo on the image corner, or the adress of the site?

I don't use those covers cause I don't know what is the policy about this.

If it were up to me, I'd rather not have them. Like this example isn't too bad.

It does have the logo, upc and all that. It's got MARVEL on the bottom. To me it looks weird. Not consistent with the others. But better than this:

I just think the site would look better with REAL cover images. If it was an issue from like 40 years ago, that'd be another story. I don't know how others feel about this.

I prefer real covers. The first one you posted, with the Marvel logo is ok, but should be replaced as soon as one without the watermark can be found. The other one, without the title, upc or logo shouldn't be up at all. Not even as a placeholder til the real one is there. That's just my opinion though.

Look online. You could probably find it. Seems the older issues are easier to find. Newer ones are usually the naked images until someone uploads it.

Just an FYI, in the new comics page, when a generic overview is there, feel free to add a more detailed description if you have and read the comic. I try to get as many up as possible but I'm only one person and I'm also working on previews from different companies. There's points there for the taking. First come, first served. I even did all the hard work. Ready, set, go!
